Hopefully he goes to United and we rip them off.

He's done at Spurs we've juiced him for his peak years...thanks Toby.

If spurs do lose Alderweireld, Rose and Dembele and don’t sign any replacements, then that’s a big hole in their defence.

Poch will probably start doing a Wenger and play Kane at CB

They've left it extremely late if they want to sign quality, star players will want to start getting settled at the beginning of the season. Becomes harder to conduct transfer business once the season approaches.

Two of those barely featured last season and Dembele was **** outside of Jan & Feb. They’ll need replacing don’t get me wrong but they won’t be as huge a loss as the media is trying to make out.

I’m not sure they’ve got the clout to sign any ‘star’ players tbh. They’ve offered improved contacts to their best players in order to try and keep them at the club for another season and Levy is a notoriously tight fisted ****. They’ve also got a new stadium to pay for which will take years. I can’t see where they would find £50m and £200k wages to secure any star players.

You will need to get replacements though. And at the moment, the club is still haggling over whether or not to sign Grealish. Better get a move on. Worth noting Sprs have a small squad as well. Perhaps they are going down the youth replacement route next season again?

Wanyama wasn’t exactly pulling up trees either. Who else would you play in that DM role ? Sanchez and vertonghen are good CB’s but you don’t have much cover there if Alderweireld goes. Rose is basically gone anyway and has been for the last 10 months.

But yeah, you need replacements for those positions, especially with CL and PL games back to back.

  12. We’re getting rid of dead wood, no doubt for premium prices, and giving the spots to upgrades.

Great shrewd business by Levy, as usual.

You were singing Dembele’s praises last season and telling us all he would get back to his best.

    Now he’s dead wood <laugh>

They'd need replacements which Dier has said.

The worry for them in Levy will be out looking for more foyths than alderweirelds.

Maybe if they sold dembele levy can pony up the going rate for grealish (who would be the replacement). Dier seems really sure of the kid (not me though, hope chelsea don't buy him)

The squad is thin, no doubt. I just hope these academy players, like Amos, are all they’re cracked up to be.

DM would have to be Dier if Wanayama is still injured. All we’ve got at CB is Foyth and CCV.

He’s 31 and Injury prone. He’s good for about an hour max atm.

  18. Something happened to him since I made those comments and he’s never looked like being the player he was.

He will always be a legend in my eyes for the way in which he terrorised the Chavs on their own turf, but I think that now is the time to get rid.

Yeah like I said we’ll need to replace all three if they go but they themselves won’t be massively missed (providing they’re replaced).

Dembele isn’t really a DM, he’s more box to box but he’s massively declined in the last 12 months, mainly due to injuries.

Wanyama’s been carrying an injury since last season, hence why he barely featured. Dier is our first choice DM though and thankfully he rarely picks up an injury, there’s a crazy stat somewhere that shows that since Dier joined us, he’s only missed about 5 or 6 games in all competitions.
