So who is going on Sunday ?

To the match that is...the match we are talking about on the match day topic.

Need to know whether to bring my drinking boots that's all.

Does Peter Crouch still play for Stoke? I can see the long ball to him causing us issues if so...

Not a good KO time 4-30 on a Sunday especially for so many of our fans who have long distances to travel. At least we didn't get the Monday night slot which would have been worse.

Not sure they will tell strikers to mark our defenders, usually the other way around, and would think Jannson would be on him,if Blackman plays he will collect most of the crosses hopefully.

You can’t stop a forward targeting a particular defender (not marking him) and if Pontus follows him that’s two taken out of the game.

Hello...hello...hello hello hello;

Is there anybody out there ?

If so please communicate in your given language as I would love to get to know you and discuss the Leeds v Stoke match on Sunday.
I'll be at the match, parked in the usual spot, but again, as usual, not drinking. Being a domestic God, I have to get home to get the tea on. :) Happy to get in earlier to hook up with whoever's going. Will be hyped up tf. :)

Right, got to find a match-related comment so this doesn't get deleted. Erm ..... :D

I wonder if any of our u23 chappies will make the bench? I don't expect them to line up, but given their pre season involvement & Bielsa's reputation, I would be surprised if they didn't feature. If Douglas is deemed too unfit to play, I expect Dallas to be slotted in, and if so, I'm hoping that Pearce at least makes the bench. Unusually, we're awash with strikers, so I can't picture a spot for an u23 chappie. Prolly the same for the midfielders. Thoughts?

I think the game will come too early for Douglas so Dallas at LWB?

Surely Pearce is the better option if Douglas isn't fit enough?
I agree, but I'm hugely biased. The fact that Dallas has featured for the probables in pre-season makes me think he'll be first choice. Pearce only made the possibles team. The thing is, Dallas was ok, but Pearce was excellent imho.

You would think so, wouldn't you? But it's not being able to call Bielsa that concerns me - and excites me at the same time!

Call Bielsa!!! Are you wanting to be giving him scouting reports?

I am giong to make a confession.
I was intending to take a step away from watching LUFC and following them in general and as a consequence be less active on here.
The problem is looking on paper things do seem to be on an upwards curve at long long last with the first team and I am getting itchy feet.
The problem is its the hope that kills and despite my best efforts I have some hope back now. The twats better not let me down again!!
Couldn't do Sunday even if I wanted to but I fear me being a regular from the middle of September till February, then it gets tricky!!.

Afobe was loaned to Stoke from Wolves Matt strange transfer as Wolves bought him then loaned him out!
Something to do with how many times you can be sold and play for different teams in a year, according to my Stoke m8,the sale goes through to stoke at a certain time.
They had to buy him as part of the deal with Bournemouth if they got promoted.

Collecting your cash in May is and and was the one game I was nailed on for.

Just so one of us keeps on topic on the Matchday thread....

I wonder if the scorching weather is going make this a slow tempo encounter. That might play into the hands of Stoke given we are all about busy, busy, busy.
