In the grand scheme of things £1.5m isn’t a great deal when you look at what they’ve trousered recently. Just get the player signed.

Infuriating isn’t it. He’s a good player in his prime. Proven and what we need! Stewart needs replacing ASAP!

Saw this from 20 mins ago on skysports transfer centre.

BRIGHTON REJECT NORWOOD BID
Brighton
have rejected a fresh bid from Hull City for midfielder Ollie Norwood.
The former Manchester United trainee has won back-to-back promotions to the Premier League and is attracting interest from other Championship clubs.
Brighton are listening to offers for Norwood and value him at £1.5m, but we understand Hull remain the only club to have made formal bids at this stage.

Quite surprising they only after 1.5m tbh .. However can't I see us splashing out that sort of money without recouping it from elsewhere.

He’d improve our midfield 10 fold and add in vital experience. He’d also for me have the captains arm band. Exactly what we need.

Hull City fans need to maintain perspective when wishing for this or that player.

The heady days of hoping we can sign a fancy player or two, have passed.

We just need steady reliable pro's who 'might' keep us up this season.

Where are the scouts that found Ashbee, Andy Dawson and Myhill?

The players are out there somewhere. We just need the people who can find them.

We have uncovered some real gems over the last few years. Not sure the same network is in place but I actually like what they are trying to do. Buy young and hungry with a point to prove. Some will excel and some will move down the leagues but it is a good strategy for our currently position.

Colour me unsurprised to discover that Todd Kane suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury two years ago.

Joking aside, is this now how we are working in the transfer market? Picking up players who have had really bad injuries because they're cheap?

Fortunately only a loan. So we can return to sender if we break him.

We sent Barry Richardson (our GK coach) to the Lincoln vs Derby U23s game. Butterfield, Martin and Cameron Jerome all played in that game.

We'll find out soon enough but my neighbour, Oxford Utd supporter, reckons he's pretty good. Believe he started in all the games he was there.

Todd Kane that is, not my neighbour, you know what I mean...

There is a lot hanging on Bowen this year the way the squad looks. There is no indication any of our forwards have what it takes to get 20 goals a year. If Keane wants out then let him go and free up his wages. Pay the money for Norwood as he would improve this side greatly. You would not bet against Turbo and Bowen being sold and the money being pocketed. Despite the optimism of the last transfer activity there is some way to go here before we are prepared for a long hard season.
