From today we're on an upward curve, whereas Geraint Thomas showed today how to descend at rapid speed. He must have been watching us
If anyone needed a kick to show we are in the **** without strengthening this little tour is it, 2 wins pre season against Yeovil and Newport, when we play anything approaching a little bit of quality shows we are nowhere near. I thought VDH and amat may work, clearly doesn't as a 3 with Fernandez, I hope we just don't sit ont what we have please. Are there any more pre-season fixtures for us to lose a few more before we start. I wonder how the club and Potter are going to spin this one.
**** didn't realise we were kicking off next Saturday, Jesus we are in trouble, thought we had 2 weeks. He obviously started today what he sees starting next week, Nordsfelt- not good enough, tidy shot stopper, cant kick and is terrified of crosses. VDH, tidy centre half and should be ok, worried about his lack of pace and prone to oments of madness Amat- jury is out, looks a tidy player on times, just not sure that he and VDH are a good pairing in a back 4. Fernandez- has little interest in being here and performances suggest that Naughton- don't rate and the same goes for him as Fernandez, no interest in playing for the swans. Fulton- simply not good enough Carroll- to light weigh and in my opinion a poor player Grimes- way out of his depth l2 player at best J Ayew- love to keep him if his head is here, but he will be gone no doubt Asoro- to be fair looks a great signing and hope he impresses in league games. McBurnie- happy he has stayed and will score goals if we can create chances for him. That leaves Dyer, Narsingh< Routledge and Montero. not a lot of cover there for us is there, I know we have Fer and maybe Mawson, but neither are fit. All in all very worrying.
I may have just wasted my money on a ticket and the coach fare never mind Dai will be along shortly to cheer me up
Agree with most of your summing up on players but have always thought Nordsfelt distribution was ok and better than Fabianski's.. I've said Grimes was no wing back but would like to see him in his usual mid field role before passing judgement. VDH went off with a groin injury so even worst position which means Rodon or Harris will be in the mix for Sheff Utd.
As I have said before my mate is a big Leeds fan and they had nothing to be bitter about as he wasn't their player, to a man have said he is the worst player they have ever seen in a Leeds shirt, he did ok for Northampton last year, but he is at the level he should be playing L2. the squad situation is absolutely dire as it stands, whilst the starting 11 is poor, we must have the smallest and weakest ( that in numbers, ability and balls) there is in the championship. I am seriously worried. I hate saying this but maybe a big defeat next weekend may make the money grabbers that we actually do need to strengthen. I really hope that come October I have been made to look stupid and that we are doing well, just cant see it.
It will be too late if we get a thrashing next week, the window will be closed and the dross we will have on our books is what we will have to put up with until January.
Isnt the window a week Friday, I hope so, I am sure then come September the loan window opens again or am I living in the past.
What a way to run a club aye! and to think Big-nose had the neck to sell it to the fans as taking us to the next level....................
Even more of a cheek was to sell them season tickets for next season, can you imagine if you had renewed, you would be devastated at everything that is happening and the thought of watching this **** this season and your hard earned money making its way back to yank land. I stopped mine as soon as they arrived and wont return until them and big nose have left and locals are left to pick up th pieces, I really hope Karma comes and finds mr Jenkins fior how he has sold the city down the river.
