No doubt creationism, as we would define it today in terms of "Earth is 6 years old (humour attempt) is not just fanciful but complete nonsense. But then, as someone mentioned earlier, primordial soup ?? The truth with "religion" and science, to the layman, is that both are based on faith. They shouldn't be but a religious person accepting what they heard or read is no different than someone saying not religious scientist
So what did we evolve from? The ape thing is nice but where did the ape come from? How far back do we go and where are the pre ape fossils?
As in lacking, gaps, nit everything fossilised or left a fossil Find a hip bone and create Lucy (iirc it was Lucy drawn up by artists)
Again a stupid reply. Insinuating that God has been an ever present figure. Let's assume that God is just that, mans inquisitive nature will ask why did you he wait eons of billions of years to create a space where man allegedly could be created in his own image? And why build an extravagant universe if man was just a play thing? The answer is their is no God, no creator because logic dictates this. Faith's are a man made tool to control the masses. Anybody with half a brain cell who can think outside the box sees this.
Not sure why you asked me this tbh I don't believe that evolution explains "origin", despite what some claim.
The fossil record?? I don't think that being incomplete is up for debate is it? As far as I know paleontologists (begrudgingly I admit) and scientists accept this
I'm referring to the fossil record obviously The fossil record is not complete record of life on Earth. For starters not everything leaves a fossil
Lot of biblical/creationism in your replies Just saying not all religious people, in fact I would say a large majority, do not accept creationism. So for example I would dispute the "in his own image" with religious people
The fossil record being incomplete i.e. not every plant of animal lifeform being preserved in a fossilised state, is due to the conditions that creating a fossil requires in the main. It’s being constantly added to though. However I don’t understand how this somehow supposed to cast a serious aspersion on the theory of evolution?
Actually no there isn't, I was assuming to put my point across. As to disputing the in his own image statement that is documented in the bible if you believe in fables.
Excuse me for interjecting here but there are only two choices. If you don't believe in the indoctrination of religious beliefs then creationism has to surely be the only alternative.
