But with such a decent amount of appearances he shouldn't have been an unknown quantity - we would have had plenty of opportunity to scout him and get some idea of his strengths and weaknesses before making the signing. Usually a player - even a poor signing like Colback is given a fair few games to play themselves out of the team. Lazaar had what, half a dozen appearances? It's like we signed him without a clue to his quality or lack thereof.
