A few more sales like that and the books will be balanced for this season. Getting Bony off the wage bill is the biggie. You could pay the wages of half a championship side for what he gets.
Maaaan this is soooo boring ! Same arguments over and over again..... What will be will be. We will sell/loan/sign players and we have no say on who they are. Friendly results mean very little. I can't wait for the season to start so we can stop moaning about everything. When the season starts we can start moaning about other things with hindsight.
I think its A Ayew they were looking at Phill, as a replacement for Mahrez ha ha. For selfish reasons I hope its not Jordan. I think, Fenerbache are favorite to sign A Ayew on loan.
Negotiations between Fenerbahce and Swansea City have ended successfully, and the Istanbul club will pay a €1.5m loan fee to the Championship side. According to the Turkish TV outlet ( Turkcell BIP Spor report ), A Ayew will earn €3.2m during his stay in Turkey and the player is expected to arrive in Istanbul in the coming days to finalise the transfer.....................
Fernandez is indeed expected to be made available on loan to Newcastle, who now have an excellent chance of signing an experienced Premier League defender without spending a single penny in transfer fees, they are very welcome to him, Alfie Mawson and Kyle Naughton up next for the exit door...........
......…...Baston, Ayew, Fernandez et al will be/may be off our books soon but they will be running down their contracts and we get nowt/peanuts for them in the end. Sell now, whatever the price, rather than loan.
....or go for option B, which is to keep them, make an additional investment in the team and try to get back in the Prem. Answers on a postcard to guess which option we are going for.
Hope the Turkish media have got their Ayews mixed up as it is A Ayew who is on the big wages with us.
Are we now a Basket case of a club, or what? What will happen with Bony do you think? his injury is always a very big gamble to come back from (Bodde), not to mention the gamble we are playing with this rebuild, lessons clearly have not been learned.....
That is our level now unfortunately, Swansea will surely follow the fortunes of Sunderland, Wigan and Blackburn, phil you are spot on we are a basket case and nailed on for relegation. Just had a little bet we are 25/1 to get relegated, looks good odds as it stands.
I look at the way Stoke are strengthening their squad and to be fair getting it right as are WBA, less said about our pathetic effort the better.
