I think we need to make signing a striker or two a priority.

Campbell showing signs of age - useful for off the bench. Dicko good, I like him but he doesn’t fit the type of player required for Nigel’s formation that he is clearly going to use this season hence the number of potential wingers we could end up with.

Sounds like Hughton is happy for us to have Skalak and Norwood if the price is right.

I thought Campbell was small enough to play the lone striker role? Too tall?

I think Campbell is one of yer ''in-between twats'' too big for one, not big enough for t'other ...... God only knows how he's made a career playing professional football!

Not according to someone on here. With the belief that if you are over 6’ then the midfield will just be bypassed with long hoofs up front from defence.

I agree, neither are suited to the way Nigel is playing, but Dicko does make a better fist of it.

Think your misunderstanding height v role.

Many on here, including yourself are after a tall targetman. A "targetman" is utilised by aiming crosses and Kong balls to him for him to attack or hold up (ala Costa, Carroll, Crouch). That does not fit our system.

Playing nigel's favoured 4-2-3-1 makes that role redundant. We need mobility and pace ahead of a "target man".

Henandez played that role well in the Championship, he had pace to hit space, was very mobile and clever movement off the ball.

Find a 6' plus player with those qualities in our price range then brilliant,

Dicko was playing his best football when Nigel came or just after. Then he was randomly dropped a few times. I can see why Hernandez came for him when fit and that was the right decision but Dicko looked out best striker behind him I thought.

If I really wanted to insult someone, I'd call them Ehab.

No, not at all. When did I say ‘target man’? I said we needed someone with a physical presence that can hold the ball up and play a bit. The example I used was an athletic version of Jon Parkin.

Was Hernandez small or lacking in stature? No.

What hasn't really come up yet are the 'loans'. we're allowed 3/4..??.... so if we can get these other bods in and cover the cost with the sale Groswicki, the forward section might start to take shape... I personally still think we'll lose Bowen in the next couple of weeks... Window closes early (is that just for the Premiership or all leagues)...?

We need a couple of strikers.
Campbell apart from his loan season with us as never being a "prolific" goalscorer but injuries aside I wouldn't have him on the bench this season
Keane needs a season in League 2
Dicko same as Campbell squad player only to brought in if injuries happen.

The only thing wrong with Campbell is not having a forward alongside him.

Put it another way. Without him we wouldn't have made the premiership that year. That year he was very special and total quality.

It’s part of his constant campaign to talk down everything about Hull City. I honestly don’t know why he posts on here.
