I’m seen as a dinosaur because I much prefer test cricket to 20/20

 

Test cricket is the pinnacle of cricket. Don’t mind 20/20 but would rather watch a test match.

There is an alternative to getting older, it’s just not a very attractive one.

played as a winger until my mid 20s ... was very quick (though I say so myself) ... then central midfield and finally as what was then 'sweeper' as I turned 40 ... knew it was time to hang up the boots when some kid was coming at me one on one ... was thinking "you are nowhere near quick enough to get past me, son" ... he was ... 10 years earlier I could have given him a 5 years start and still nipped in ahead of him ... bit depressing to start with but you soon realise that there are other compensations in life
