I don't know what it is about the Echo website - it happens every time - but it's got to be the most infuriating site to load and open. Took 15 minutes loading, closing down, loading, closing down, loading the ads, closing down .... <grr>

So I've half-read that story. One of the bits that stood out to me was ''pushed him in self defence'' - really. Didn't get as far as the verdict but I'm guessing he got off lightly.

Someone from my infants school has contacted me via Facebook and asked to meet up at the Shrewsbury v Luton game in February 2019. Hope he is still wearing short trousers or I will not recognise him. 50+ years since I last saw him!

I've completed writing (but mostly ripping off the internet) my ceremony for the wedding. Met with bride and groom again today. Sunday marks one week until I officiate my first wedding. The only problem... I can't roll my R's are she is Latina with an r in her last name and I want to pronounce it correctly. Last two days I've been frantically trying to roll my rs. I can do it sometimes now... But it frequently comes out garbled instead...

Played eleven games of footy this morning; make shift team thrown together this morning... won two, drew seven & lost two. Bagged three goals and two assists, not bad for a defender!

Took the family to the pub this afternoon; extra large mixed grill with a side of BBQ chicken wings followed by hot chocolate fudge cake. Washed down with two points of Peroni.

Just to make the day better, the two eldest are stopping at their aunties tonight and the youngest is already fast on.

Carlsberg don't do Sundays, but if they did...

If you were scouse you'd have no problem

He's kept his English accent but it's probably a well spoken Cheshire rather than common as muck, grating scouse - with rolling r's <laugh>

It used to be a Cheshire accent. When I meet people from England now they all assume I'm from the Midlands... It's quite horrifying people telling me I sound like I'm from the Midlands. <laugh>

I guess if you cross Cheshire with living in the US for 26 years you get Midlands.
