We knew Southgate had given him the mandate to chase personal glory the moment he was announced as captain on the eve of our CL final

Absolutely no doubt Klaim cares more about himself. A deflected goal that got him his hat trick, a number of penalties and Stones scored in the first game, but Harry Klaimed the rebound. Should have squared it to Sterling last night and then with the second chance got greedy again.

He doesn't have a very expressive face so I couldn't tell last night whether he looked upset or not. I was looking at him and seeing a little cartoon thought bubble over his head with ''still in for Golden Boot though'' in it <laugh>

It was re-released once; for the 98 world cup. Didn't change the original sentiment / meaning.

He is like Salah. No point winning the golden boot and ending the season/World Cup trophyless.

His failure to score the last minute goal last night has cost England .Magicians don't get it right sometime.

His golden boots got him nowhere. At least Salah has a record to his name and a champions league final. Did more in a year than Klaim has done the last few

Blimey England the most ,age group, successful nation in the world and have done it with no creative or MF players.
Our coaches must be tactical magicians.

Well that was ****ing pub football after the first 20 minutes. The first 'test' we had - blew it. 'We're contenders again', said Tyldesly at the end: talk about polishing a turd. How many times did we just welly it up the pitch? One, two leaden, over-hit touches between the back three and the 'midfield' (Henderson), and then BOOF, before they were closed down. And when it comes to class and composure - just look at the difference between how Croatia took their winner and Kane ****ed up an identical chance.

So, this team will get better - but there'll never be a draw open up like that one again.

Anyway, real football begins next month.

Yeah, you can’t put records in the trophy cabinet. Or Golden Gloves/Golden Boots.

I like your name for Kane, it shows some imagination from rivals.

Why could you not put a golden boot in your trophy cabinet? (If you had one, like).

or the lads are just all more physical and faster than equivalent youth opposition?

I posed a question... can you name on in u17, u19, u21 teams we could be seeing play for England and doing this role?

Some good players at age level for England. They are coming through the FA system/philosophy of how they want to move forward.

Some good players ready to break through into full squad too. Plus Southgate picking players not just on name, but for the system. Maybe a bit more flexibility within the system would have helped last nights.

Fair enough, it got his move to Barcelona sorted. But still a QF exit without troubling the engravers, is that worth celebrating?

any more than salah golden boot from last season?

if you look back at the end of your career and you are only of only a select few then I'm sure it gives some satisfaction.

it's not what you go for though... not even Ronaldo would say it is.
