BT seem to like showing us at home Man U!

4th season in a row I think ..

Sky will be hoping Watford V Palace is a better game than the last time they chose it..

Gone for the Jokanovic factor for the Fulham game.

Gutted about the Fulham game, my better half had bought tickets for the Watford boat going up the Thames for my birthday, hey ho! We'd better win, otherwise it'll be a birthday to forget! lol

So in the first six weekends of the season we are on TV 4 times. Anyone would think that we were Man U.
It’s a nightmare! I book advance train tickets, get scuppered every time! An explanation of the rationale would help.

Getting us out of the way early so that they can ignore us for the rest of the season.

Yes and of course 2 are against big teams plus they will build up the Zaha v Watford and Slav facing his former club who dumped him despite getting promoted angle.

Yes, definitely the case. Often at home against the big boys (hardly ever away) and sometimes against a smaller club e.g. Fulham this time so they can kill two birds with one stone in terms of getting their quota in for showing the smaller clubs.

Following my previous note, I contacted the club regarding the fixture changes for TV.
I have been told as follows....
The club (i.e.WFC) have no input whatsoever into the choice of fixtures selected to be moved (i.e. for TV).
There is NO minimum or maximum number of fixtures for which a club can be chosen. (I didn't ask if every club has to appear).
The club is as frustrated as I am, as they realise (some) supporters are very unhappy - not just those like myself who travel over 75 miles.
She did give me the dates that the changes are released. If anyone is interested - e.g .so don't make bookings too far in advance!
Oct/Nov TV - released 7/8.
Dec/Jan TV - released 12/10.
Feb TV - released 12/12.
Mar TV - released 25/1/19.
Apr TV - released 22/2/19.
May TV - released 5/4/19.

How we change this I have no idea. It seems that the EPL see supporters as (free) atmosphere to improve the TV experience.

I learn (from a quick internet scan) that other 'rules' apply. One of hem is that no club shall play more than two games at home. Ha ! We are forced o play 3 games at home (Palarse, spurs, Manure). The spurs game is of course because their bloated new stadium isn't ready. My question is 'Why didn't we insist on playing spurs at their place - either behind closed doors if no safety certificate, or they could forfeit the 3 points.?

Could that rule be no club shall play more than two games at home per broadcaster?

Not as I read it - but I see the idea.
Just to add to the mess - Burnley is now a sunday at 1-30pm. I can't get there by train from congleton (have to go to Crewe).

Man City 8pm 4th Dec - 8pm

Chelsea on Boxing day is now 7.30.

Bournemouth (Wednesday 2nd Jan) and Everton away Monday 10th Dec) moved - only latter is on TV.

Not happy about the Chelsea game. Boxing Day fixtures should never be evening kick offs. I can't make it either <wah>
