Ratho, next to ****TER airport. It's about 5 miles away from Edinburgh but somehow is part of Edinburgh along with Queensferry, Newbridge and other *** havens. If Glasgow employed the same logic and claimed not only towns 5 or 6 miles away from the city boundary, the population would be about 2m FFS. LGF
They reckon that by 2030 Edinburgh will overtake Glasgow in terms of population meaning that BBC Teuchter, STV etc. will no longer be able to say "Scotland's biggest city" every time they talk about Glasgow. Soon, the only claims to fame Glaswegians will have left is highest crime rate, lowest life expectancy and an misplaced sense of how popular they are.
Every time I venture into the city centre it seems there's a new hotel being built - or new student accommodation. Christ knows how it's sustainable. Never mind, the fringe starts soon...
That's just bollocks though. I read Edinburgh Council is hoping to have a 700,000 pop by 2070. Glasgow has reversed it's population decline by bringing in darkies and shoving them up high rises. Edinburgh is a novelty city whereas Glasgow is practical and workable. LBGT
Yeee-up; plenty of three and four star dosshouses opening up around the east end of Princes Street and down towards the London Road roundabout. There is student accommodation sprouting up in Leith Street/Leith Walk; locals not too chuffed so expect some arson! I wonder if Henning Wehn is doing his usual August stint in Edinburgh this year.

Edinburgh City is twice the land mass of Glasgow. If Glasgow was the same area size as Edinburgh, we'd be at nearly 2m people. WEST IS BEST FOLKS
