Sterling does one half-decent thing, then feels he has to follow it up with two more. Inevitably losing the ball, he's overplaying it.

He did so well to win the ball, control it, shield it, take on a player. Then with 3 players on him, he decided to shoot from about 25 yards into the crowd of 3 players, rather than picking a pass out.

Sums up him in an England shirt.

6 times in the box England players have been grabbed. 3 warnings to Colombia about holding. Still nothing given for any of them. I wonder how many more warnings they will be allowed in the second half. These Colombians are very sly and dirty.

RLC for Alli at the break (whether that's enforced or not) might be smart. Adds a bit of physicality to combat the Colombians, and RLC is a different threat. Sterling and Alli seem to often be playing in the same areas.
 
I didn't think we would boss the game as much as that, but I did think we would play better in attack than that. We never looked like we were going to score.

I knew Colombia would foul, hold and dive, and get away with it, which they have.

We have bossed the half, without ever looking threatening.

Can see a Pen given to Colombia, the first time the enter our box in this game.

This already looks like it's going to be settled by a single goal, or penalties. Neither team making many opportunities. The fractious nature of the game has suited Colombia more though, they've come into it more.

Throwing Belgium has broken our rhythm and confidence. Like I was very worried about.

Russia control VAR.

Russia got away with a easy pen decision late in extra time against Spain. Russia hate England, and England have had no correct decisions from VAR this world cup.

Pretty obvious what's going on again.

This is not the England that started the World Cup and excited us. This is the England against Belgium. Which is the England we have had to put up with for the past 10-15 years.

We have gone from one of the impressive exciting teams of the world cup, to "England". If we get through this, we will have to really scrape through. In a really untidy manner.
 
About 8 players crowding the ref for about 5 minutes, and Colombia player following Harry and talking at him.player trying to put him off. Colombia players scuffing the pen spot.

These foreign clubs are disgusting.
