The thing is Rebel, I can't see Lawwell sanctioning the moves for Bangura and Diawara unless he's certain that there's money coming in for Samaras and Maloney.

i'm a toon fan but I heard something here at work from a mackem fan who previously knew some stuff about your transfer dealings. it's Gibson to Sunderland and possibly also Michael Owen. Bizarre I know. I figure it's not Owen but one of the other ManU backbench strikers, but he heard it's Owen. So Gibson and Owen to SAFC. Not sure how we all would feel about that. I don't rate Gibson at all, he just shoots all the time. I'm in no position to pass unbiased opinion on Owen.
The other one looks like the player we need someone that can header a baw, hope its not one or the other and we get both.
I've just read about Diawara on the STV website and it seems a bit off.

It sounds to me like he was a back-up in case we didn't get Bangura.
Obviously I hope that Bangura is a good player but we don't have a single forward who is capable of getting their head on the ball regularly (Bangura is 5' 9")
