Germany really are poor at this tournament. I would expect England to beat them in normal time. However, the English need to believe they can win - and this is always a problem.
That's true, there does seem to be less fragility and being **** scared to lose about our current squad.
As things stand, the top half of the bracket for the Round of 16 could feature one of Portugal/Spain, France, Brazil and Germany, and if Argentina ekes out a runner-up spot, they'll be in there as well. Given that the winner of England's group goes to the top half, being the runner-up might not be the worst thing in the world.
