I read a lot about rants and piss boiling on here and I know everything in the garden is far from rosy but I am finding the amount of negativity on here to be so off putting I'm struggling to log on any more. We may sign nobody, we may struggle all season and we may be relegated but ffs we my sign a super star, have a cracking season and be happy bunnies. Not having a go at people who dont rate Bruce, they have valid arguments and put them well but why some have to put a negative spin on any positive bit of news makes my piss well and truly boil. I'm sure I will hear the usual spouting of well I'm only being realsitic, its just my opinion. Well this is my opinion, Northern Echo most days, obituaries page, excellent reading for you to brighten up the day. My rant over.
I know what you mean Syd...I don't mind when someone posts comments when they supply valid arguments, even if I stongly disagree with those arguments...But when people are just posting that this one's ****e and the other one's ****, it does get on my nerves... Anyway, nightshift finished and now off until the weekend. So nothings going to get me down today..
LOL Cyprussy. If Bruce signs messi before the end of the window it wouldnt change my opinion of him. He's still a very average manager and better is available. Quinn promised us a 5 year model to European football yet signs a manager with no experience of it?! Doesn't make sense to me. (even allardyce has) Bruce has stabalised us but now its time to push on with the original plan. Sack Bruce and bring Hughes or Oneil in then we can continue the magical short Quinn carpet ride. We will never achieve European football under Bruce. Mark my words.
Your on about people hearing positive news but putting negative spins on it because they don't like Bruce. So im saying no matter who Bruce signs he's still an average to poor manager who will take us nowhere lol. I'd be happy if we sign pdc or bentjner but im sorry I still cant rate the manager
I think that he is just admitting that he is really a Mag in disguise...And that he is also one of negative ****esters of whom you have commented on...
Haha its probably me. I'm in bed typing this on a smart phone. Please tell raw to stop calling me a mag because I don't like Bruce
Who? or are you saying you want MON? I'm not saying Bruce is the right man but i'm struggling to think who is available with Premier League & European experience.
I've checked out all of your comments under this username, and the only logical conclusion after reading them is that you are indeed a Mag.
Feeling better Syd?? I most certainly did not yesterday when you (I think) posted that bit about SB saying that he needed a bit more up front. To say I was angry would be a massive understatement. It was not at the "up side" of looking to strengthen, but the tone of the quotes where it seemed there had been a TOTAL lack of the understanding of our strategic and tactical requirements for the coming season on managements behalf in replacing Bent - and supporting Gyan EFFECTIVELY!! I don't post the day of matches because reaction and comment is done in the heat and passion surrounding the game - I prefer to give myself a bit of time and bring some analysis into my thinking and comments. I've learnt in my life that knee jerk reactions can lead to very bad decisions and make you look a complete T**T. I took a break from here due to "doom & gloom" aura, but my optimism and need to share my love of SAFC with others brought me back. We are individuals, some I can relate to easily, some not so, and others I wouldn't have a drink in a pub with. Feel free to "have a pop", safety valve is good - but what makes your piss boil may just do the same for others?
I think that there are also a lot of posters who just come on here and defend Bruce at all costs, even when its totally indefensible and this then entrenches positions on both sides. Its a catch 22 situation. Those that say we should support him no matter what (usually with very little reasoning behind their arguments, other than "so long as he is manager we should support him" thinking, really pisses off those who come on to offer more lengthy arguments against). Remember, its not the fans that sold Bent and did not replace him; not the fans who have performed so abjectly in derby games 2 years running; not the fans that pick the most bizarre teams and tactics; not the fans who have thrown the cup games away, 2 years on the trot. Bruce has brought this pressure on himself. 100%. That said, I posted yesterday that I believe its perfectly obvious that, barring another straight 4 or 5 defeats of course, Bruce will not be sacked and will be here until at least Christmas, so it would be better to just get on with things now and stop the in blood letting. I am still not convinced he can turn things round (I dont think he knows how to in all honesty) but have conceded that the daily Bruce in-Bruce out discussion has been worn out now to the point its boring. By 12 midnight tomorrow we will all know what sort of run in to Christmas we are going to have. I'm not going to speculate or discuss anymore rumours ( thats pointless too) but will be the first to comment about who, if anyone, we actually sign afterwards. Thats fair I believe and if good signings are made I'll also be the first to offer positive thoughts about them. Of course, the opposite scenario is fair game too. Lets agree to disagree regarding Bruce and concentrate on the post window discussions which although may still be polarised, will be based more on facts rather than lazy newspaper reporting.
mate you want to meet me at the sol and see my season ticket? im what you call a realist not a moronic happy clapping sheep like yourself
I don't do negativity. That is for the people who can not see anything good in life. Enjoy yourself it is much much later than you think
Syd, This has been going on for the last 6 months.... Every day there is someone banging on about the smallest of issue and not putting their views across in a constructive manner, which just results in a slag fest. Hence the reason for the majority of old timers leaving. Like you say, this is all about views and opinions but a good read is ten to a penny how-a-days because people don't have the intelligence to actually construct a thread that's worth reading.
Its no small issue mate to have lost 19 games and only won 13 since August14th 2010. 45 games 19 Lost (including defeats to lowly Notts County and Brighton & HA in there as well) 13 Won 13 Draws 28.8% Win rate Its hardly an inspiring set of stats is it to get enthusiastic about. Lots to moan about in there mind.
