Well ladies and gentlemen, that's what happens when you play a 5-1-4 formation.

Henderson left in midfield by himself, with Ali and sterling and lingard playing just behind Kane.

With no midfield you can't control the game, your not penning the opposition in, your just chasing their players.

And pace is all very well, but if you have no space, it's pointless.

Great finish from Kane for that 2nd. Wasn’t easy header to beat keeper at near post there.

Thought Sterling was pants for England as per usual. Just can’t replicate that for Man City form for country.

Would muxh rather rashford in for him. Thought loftus cheek was actually impressive when he came on too. Actually ranforward with the ball, offers nice alternative alongside Henderson.

Lingard alli and aterling juat didnt iffer that threat woth the ball undortubatrly.

I like where it says Germany and Spain only won because of the ball.

Stirling missed a gilt edged sitter in the first 5 minutes, Lingard missed 3 or 4 great chances over the game.
Kane scored 2 goals but should have had 2 penalties as well.

England played ok but they will have to step it up against better opposition.

Playing meh and winning then getting better through the tournament is what Italy and Germany do. Winning the World Cup is also what Italy and Germany do.

So I'm cool with it. Scottish midges, a Scottish ref and a Scottish VAR system but they still couldn't stop them.

If he saw var he prob woyld have sent walker off.

    clear pen.

England started well but seemed to give up on the plan and were dross. that lot were **** and deserved a hammering but lingard and sterling missed so many sitters.

we have them confidence. stopped pressing and let them have it.

    two tap ins off corners....

Just to be clear.... it was Tunisia and they were absolute ****.

play like this v Belgium and we will be hammered but imo we will beat Panama by hook or by crook (should be very easy) and 6 points equals second place.

we should have had 5 or 6 last night to compete for 1st place but imo Belgium will take 1st on gd now

Imo....southgate has this plan but it's deeply flawed.

Walker is a wing back by rights not even a rb. Southgate has shoehorned him in there and it's a terrible error that will come home to roost.

Maguire is slow and immobile and will be destroyed by Belgium.

3 at back v 1 forward is silly.

    Just is.

Stones in effect played cm with Henderson for half the game.

Surely it's better play stones rcb, dier as a quasi defender/dm and walker wing back.

Add in how poorly lingard played and how half paced alli was and england got luckly imo.

I was right by the by.

all the papers are reporting is harry kane.

the lad did faff all bar tap in too handy ones. he did nothing in play.

I eman ok lingard, sterling and alli were discracefully bad and walker was a moron.. and pickford was too short to save a pen... and young was woeful as LWB.. and maguire was ****e... but like... seriously... its all about kane?

What about jordon godlike henderson in the centre playing the entire game on his own.

Or John i can't be bothers to pass straight stones?

Strange game, started off well then lost the plot as the game went on. Tunisia was always going to defend deep so that shouldn't be a surprise, we should have had a plan to counter that. Also why keep Alli on the pitch if he's injured? He ain't bloody Messi that we desperately need him to play.

    Jordan Henderson........

Wish he was brave enough to pass it forward, even if it was only 5 yards.

Same old boring dross as usual from England, can't see us going far if they keep performing like that.Despite not being a fan of Horrenderson thought he had a half decent game.
