No different than having Lallana and Tarkowski for England, I suppose. Edit: I think the name Braithwaite may well have Norse origins anyway.
I though that, Pepe is a Portugeezer! Ramos is just a thug and isn't a patch on some of the more cultured defenders in the WC, he isn't fit to lace the boots of Maguire
He might be a **** but he's a very effective ****. Spain the favourites for me. The way they ripped Portugal to shreds showed they were the best in the tournament. No other team has got close to their level. Costa and Isco will give anyone nightmares at the back.
Braithwaite, Brathwaite, or Brathwait is a surname of English origin. At the time of the British Census of 1881,[1] the relative frequency of the surname Braithwaite was highest in Westmorland (37.3 times the British average), followed by Cumberland, Yorkshire, Linlithgowshire, Lancashire, County Durham, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Anglesey and Flintshire.
I got confused. For a minute, I thought I was in the middle of an episode of ‘who do you think you are’.
you might just have googled the player himself and looked up if his father ****ed a Danish girl lads. probably something along those lines.
By gsme todsy then, Sweden v South Korea. A victory for either would really leave Germany needing to win both games
I always find the term "English" loose in this context. The Anglo-Saxons were Germanic peoples from continental Europe who mixed with the indigenous Romano-British and were mongrelised further by successive waves of Danes and Norwegians, then overrun by your beloved Norman French - who were themselves descended from Scandinavians. Which is why I can't get too fervent about national identity. People are just people, as far as I'm concerned. Apologies to @KENNY_KLOPP_KING for the diversion.
mitoese I agree though, Germany have a bad situation, they did lose not draw so automatically that puts them in a situation of needing to win the next one and maybe both just to get 2nd. I don't rate sweden at all but know nothing about south korea at this point so who knows. Losing the first game is a massive disaster in any tournament.
IMO they will have to improve massively. They were run off the park. contrast to them running brazil off the park in 2014.
One is first game of a tournament other is final. Of course the Germans are going to improve. Always have for god knows how long at tournaments.
