Backing Glorious Journey 25/1 e/w in the St James Palace. He cost 2.6m and won both starts as a 2yo, he was being aimed at the French Derby before finishing 3rd in his trial, travelling best and possibly just outstayed over 1m1 by 2 horses who went on to finish 2nd and 4th at long odds in the big one. There was only half a length between the 3 and they pulled 5 lengths clear of the 4th so it looks like it might have been underestimated as a race. His dam Fallen For You burst on the scene at this meeting when winning the Coronation at double figures, and Dubawi has a great record on the Ascot round course as well. Not convinced by the main players in this race and it doesnt appear there is a top miler in the field, the likes of Tip To Win and Romanised are far from convincing on overall profiles and connections, Without Parole clear favourite having only run to about 110 tells the story. Its possible Glorious Journey ran to a slightly higher level than that in France and looks open to plenty improvement after only 4 runs and dropping back to a mile. NRNB with 365 looks the safest bet as I cant find anything about this actually being a target for him but if the horse is fit I cant imagine they are not thinking about it.

Prices are best BOG. Win singles and a win L15 at 1/2 singles unit stakes.

Between me and my better half, we've got 5 e/w patents today. As usual, very modest stakes.

BRIGHTON
330 - Archimento (5/1)
430 - Deeds not words (7/2)
500 - Following Breeze (9/2)

WINDSOR
620 - Leading Spirit (3/1)
650 - Rebel Streak (4/1)
750 - Happy Ending (10/3)

515 Worc - Dotties Dilema (5/1)
820 Winds - Dream Machine (11/4)
840 Pont - Juan Horsepower 13/2

WORCESTER
215 - Dark Invader (8/1)
245 - Destiny's Gold (6/1)
415 - Royal Ruby (11/2)

550 Winds - Awesome (2/1)
720 Winds - Another Eclipse (4/1)
640 Pont - Pink Iceburg (3/1)

Would settle for getting my money back after last week's efforts, but obviously a profit would be better :)

Good luck all.

No system at all.
Systems (if you can call them that) not been working for me lately.
just seemed like a reluctance to pick bigger priced horses , never let a price put you off , phil bull the father of timeform , and an avowed marxist btw , always said the bigger the price the bigger your stake !!

No idea what is happening with Juan Horsepower, but after reading your comment, I just checked the price on it.
Drifting like a barge. Out to 25/1...now back in to 14/1

Talking of big prices a little each way speculation on Bryony Frost's solitary ride of the day in the lucky last at Worcester. Has won over course, distance and ground previously. Amber Flush at a whopping 40/1. Good luck all.

No word from Stick on the bumper today but with The Donald meeting Kim tomorrow, surely Summitwillhappen would be a most topical winner <laugh>

(Hasn't got a hope on all known form - a bit like tomorrow's summit?)
