1) United desperately need to close the gap on City...they can not afford to wait a year.

2) If Toby has a good world cup and proves he is over his injury others could well join in causing a bidding war.

3) Keeping another season could be very beneficial to us on the pitch so worth the loss of money this year cos it may win us more in terms of prize money, and therefore sponsorship money etc.

4) Not selling to United until the last minute is not going to cause us the same issue as selling Berbatov to United at the last minute did as we have Sanchez. Last year Sanchez took his place from 1st Nov (when Toby was injured) until the end of the season. This season Sanchez will be more experienced so the loss of Toby will not be devasting like the loss of Berbatov.

I hope he stays but I think he'll go...but I think we should be greedy as **** as that is our best chance of keeping him and he will want to play well to get his move next year so it's win win for us.

PSG are interested for one, mate. Juve too possibly.

What makes you think we will wait a year? That gap is way too big right now for us to close anyway, unless we can bring some seriously good players in such as Ronaldo/Neymar/Kroos... I can't see it happening for a year or two at least.

I think Mourinho will go for his plan B if Toby isn't a United player by the time the WC starts.

Does that mean I'm right?

I’ll reword it. In my opinion, and I’m not alone, given time he will develop into one of the best centre backs anywhere.

You disagree, fine, I think you’re wrong.You think he’s ****, I know you’re wrong.

It’s a pointless argument, only time will tell who’s right.
