It’s the only way the soft border between Northern Ireland and the Republic can remain, so it’s the only way forward as far as I can see. In theory the DUP should support that amendment so it should go through.
Yep, why I have for some time thought that hard Brexit would never happen. There is just too much baggage
A refreshing change from Blair's constant ignorance of reality: https://www.theguardian.com/politic...brown-calls-for-tougher-controls-on-migration
There has been no possible good outcome since June 2016; just a series of barely palatable "least bad" options, all of which the current government seem determined to undermine or squander. Maintaining access to the Single Market may go some way to limiting the damage we have needlessly inflicted on ourselves. But the damage will still be considerable; I'd far rather we just binned the whole thing off altogether. Surely all but a few fanatics see that now? That Brexit just isn't ****ing worth the candle?
Not all about but I have made no secret that the lies over "only doing the jobs Brits won't do" are a key factor.
What lies are these Imps? How many Brits are out of work due to immigration? We have record numbers of people in work.
So many companies ripping into the Goverment now Who's ready for Brexit to unravel? May to take all the blame and go, then we have a general election end of the year?
Delivery firms/couriers now kicking off at the potential loss of thousands of foreign drivers that may return to their own country, following Brexit. Maybe, if the couriers started treating their “self employed staff” as people, paid decent wages, accepted that they should actually be employed status, and stopped with the avoidance of responsibility that comes with being an employer, they may find that the British might want to do the job.
A Mirror poll states that 80% of people asked, across all political parties, would support a 1p in the pound increase on National Insurance. More than 30% state they would vote, in the next General Election, for the political party that promises to pay most money into the NHS.
Won’t make any difference to Brexit, because both sides of the house are stuck on the idea that it’s a good thing. I hope the younger generation can get through this without blaming the older generation, because many of us saw through the lies in the first place.
As politicians are politicians you'd think one of them would come up with an idea to get us out of Brexit? Imps?
