If he's been offered 40k a week at Leeds then crack on....im really glad we arnt paying these kind of wages in the championship.

£40k a week for a very good Chanpionship striker that you don’t have to buy is peanuts over the length of the contract

If we tried to replace him with anything like similar quality (we won’t mind you...but bear with me) then we’d pay much more overall even if we paid a £20k a week salary

do the maths - if we get £20 a ticket from 12000 fans - ie £240k every home game for 20 games a season that's £4.8 million a year - divide that by 20 players and all the backroom staff and running the stadium - when the two ****wits came it was about £30 a ticket with 20000 fans - I know there's tv money, sponsorship and other income but when you look at the numbers there's absolutely no way you would pay anyone even close to £40k a week ( ie £2 million a year) never mind £10k a week come to that

Buying a player for £3m and paying him £15k a week for three years, costs exactly the same as paying a player you already have £34k a week.
 
Apparently, City will meet with the agent of Hakeeb Adelakun next week, he's available on a free, but a compensation fee will still be required (Forest and Sunderland also believed to have contacted his agent).

Yet another business blunder by eeyore? if he’d paid Able a decent contract , he’d have had a very saleable asset on his hands come January! ... just saying
