Hello all,

Sorry to be a negative poster this morning, but I'm very disappointed about the manner in which the match thread was used after the game and into the evening.

I know this is a forum for opinions and debate, and that once it's live the thread is free for anyone's comments, but the bloody things take me over an hour to write and edit! That's not including the financial cost of firing up my American brain by consuming copious quantities of beef jerkey and root beer!

All joking aside, I'll keep writing them if you want me to, I enjoy it, but if the next one turns into a torrent of personal abuse then I won't bother because its unpleasant to read, unnecessary, and not in keeping with the spirit of the thread.

Now go and sit on the naughty step and think about what you've done!

My apologies PC, for closing the thread, but I felt I had no option!

Of course we want you to carry on with them, they are the highlight of the week. <ok>

Dave,
As we all appreciate and look forward to the weekly work of art from CS, if the thread gets hijacked again, is there anyway where you can either remove the offensive posts, or ban the offensive poster from further posting on the thread?

If not, then just ban the selfish irresponsible barstewards <steam>

Appreciate that it takes a lot of time and effort to put together, PC, but
please don't let a handful of morons ruin what 99% of us enjoy very much <ok>

(Maybe you could post a link to the pink'un site on the next one to redirect
the pea-brain fraternity <doh> )

Yes we have the facility to delete posts, and, as a last resort, ban abusive posters, but look at the title of this site! "NOT606", we want to try very hard not to become a copy of the old 606 moderation, but to do that, Thai and myself need the assistance of each and everyone of you! In the heat of the moment, we can all go OTT, in times of stress, such as shocking refereeing decisions, before we push the 'send' button, let's all agree to stop! Think! Would I be happy to receive that post from the other side!

It would really help Thai and myself if we could all show a little bit of self-discipline <ok>

Thank you all for your co-operation

<cheers>

It is primarily because of these cross board threads that we have outlined some basic rules for ALL to follow and respect. Rest assured, we will act accordingly in all cases and issue warnings where feel it is appropriate to do so. If that ultimately upsets one or two people and they decide to not return then so be it. Our aim is make our board as pleasant an environment as possible for everyone.

It is not right that PC creates a match day thread where we basically invite opponents fans over to join us and then insult them.

What about a swift kick in the gonads to remind them not to be offensivev then Dave?
Or, a season ticket for all offenders to portaloo road?

That alone should be a big enough deterrent!! :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Sounds good to me!

Problem with the purchase of the season ticket though! I phoned up and told them I only have a pound coin and they said "Sorry, we've got no change!"

;)

You've got to keep doing them PC, they're an intrinsic part of our match days now! The work that goes in to them is much appreciated.

It wasn t me, i like your threads....Can i suggest PC that you write a little disclaimer at the bottom stating the fact that if idiots ruin your article Thai or Dave will remove the offending materiel and ban them:angel: if they don t stop..

It made me laugh actually, in all truth the Chelsea fans were absolutely **** probably too busy worrying about the delicatessen down the Portobello Road being smashed up during the carnival. Saying that some of their fans we spoke to in the White Horse pub in Parsons Green were sound.

People were a bit tired and pissed off yesterday thats why I can imagine the original thread got out of hand. Also would Yorky mind jogging on and piping it down a bit? Don't think I have not seen a single thread on this forum for a while without his mug in.

Good idea about the disclaimer, may have to include one to discourage that sort of behaviour. On reflection this article seems a bit silly, but I hadn't been on the thread since full time and woke up this morning to find that Dave had to close it because it was getting nasty; I have no probs with it being closed at all, would have done the same myself

All the best to one and all!

White Horse pub in Parsons Green - GREAT boozer <ok>

Not a big fan of real ale and speciality beers, but I really enjoyed the place so much we went back for a couple of beers after the game. Not sure if they were auditioning for Made in Chelsea as the crowd was a bit different but they seemed like a good bunch, we were asked politely by the manager to stop singing.

:emoticon-0103-cool:Maybe the crappy decisions and a lack of a win yet has started all this bad vibes on here??????? I have been treated to some amazing scenes following the last few seasons with a massive slice of luck, and will not be spitting the dummy about our fantastic side...<for a while anyway>
