"One former coach described him as the 'white Maicon'."

Imagine the hell that would be unleashed if someone said, for example, the Drogba was the black Ibravimovic...

There'd calls of racism, and law suits.

Just pointing that out. If you even mention the word black you're in danger of being branded a racist. But if you talk about white people you cannot be branded a racist at all.

i actually dunno if that would be an issue if something is said in a possitive light its not very likely to cause trouble

I wish I had a black car.

Yes I know, Im trying to get help about my racist problems.

No it's not. I've heard the phrase "the white Pele" loads of times. Dont make this into another ridiculous racism argument.

I'm not saying it's racist at all, i'm just saying no one would dare make the same comparison using the word "black". Just saying <ok>

But i agree it was a silly digression.

He seems to be much like Obertan in the confidence respect. He needs a manager to put his arm round him and tell him he's good enough despite what anyone else thinks.

Agreed. Obertan is growing in confidence and playing increasingly better.

Santon is 20 years old and 6ft 2 <ok>

And about Obertan, he looks like a baldy Jonas. Same build but stronger and more aggressive, same ability to track back well, both players are good dribblers and can make good runs.

Was pleasantly surprised by Obertan defensively. Simpson gets caught up the field now and then but Obertan has the pace, power and tackling ability to track back and win the ball. On the basis of yesterday I'd go so far as to say we could use him as a wing back if desperate.

I too thought Obertan put in a shift defensively, wasn't massively impressed with him going forward but he had his moments, sometimes he just seems to me like he hasnt got a very good footballing brain, he has some great attributes but not the brain to piece the bits together, just one time inparticular during the match Simpson was on the overlap looking for an option and Obertan was just stood still not far from the centre circle not making the run or making himself available, if he can improve little things like that I think he could be a big hit.

I know its early days but I would probably prefer Marveaux playing over Obe, just seems like he has more in his locker.

Why is it, when the topic of racism comes up, it's always you?
