Can't agree there. They have their moments and are good at entertainment and spectacle, but so much is wrong there and is unsolvable. Great for a holiday, but rather live in the UK. The British should stop denigrating themselves....we are a pretty good bunch.

But one of our most endearing traits is self-denigration.

So let's take the good parts of America (like their entertainment and spectacle) and leave the iffy parts like the police brutality and dodgy health system.

Has a one criticised them for the apparent turn around in ambition?

All I’ve read above so far are relatively small, petty criticisms that aren’t really important. Surely none of those would be an issue if the club had a clear direction and strategy. We did have one only four or five years ago and an ambitious one at that.

If I complete it, that’s what I’ll be telling them. I don’t really care if they don’t talk to menevery five minutes about what’s going on, but I do care about how successful they want this club to be, or if they have a belief and strategy just to survive.

Let’s focus on the big issues here. We complain about lack of information, they’ll just send us more emails or make more statements.
I'd say this is spot on. One of my favourite things in one of the recent Total Saints podcasts was Simon Peach (I think) pointing out that the likes of Man Utd (the team he mainly covers) don't make regular statements to the fans.

Frankly I couldn't care less how often Les or Ralph - particularly Ralph! - are wheeled out in front of the press and if we were finishing in the top 4 every year I suspect most fans wouldn't care if we never heard from them. On the other hand I am extremely curious as to why the club has gone from saying in April 2015 that it had a five year plan to get in the Champions League and that it was important to establish itself as a top six club in that time to saying in January 2018 that we are a small club and when we finish in the top half that's "a fantastic year".

Saying you want to get in the Champions' League doesn't make it more likely that you will achieve it than if you stay silent. The club will always want to be as successful as they can be...perhaps the only change is a dose of realism.

Or it is lowering the high standards it sets itself? We may perhaps draw conclusions with targets that schools set their GCSE SS with 90% to get grades C-A*. It might not get them, but why should it lower its standards for the following year? Basically, the Chairman has lowered SFC´s standards and with that there is an inherent danger of underperforming players, and a club failing to deliver the best posible product on and off the pitch to its supporters.

Where can I get this fan survey? It might be a good idea to improve the environment around the stadium which is rather dismal. So make the place greener with more trees, hedgerows. Have laser lights to light up the exterior of the stadium. Have plans that SFC is going to expand its fanbase in the South of England to win over the many youngsters in Hampshire who have adopted the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham as teams to support, instead of backing their local team.

Maybe there was once a belief that we could challenge for European places but when Kat took more interest in how the club was being run, the sights were lowered. Since then we've had a change of owner and the sights have been lowered still. It's understandable that the fans want more because that's what we've been fed since we got back into the Prem but what I get from Krueger's statement is don't expect too much anymore.

I think you have to be a member or ST holder, then you get an email.

Also, how will you attract or retain the best students if you don’t show ambition. Sure you can equate that to footballing terms

Maybe GAO just wants to do just enough to keep the club in the EPL, reap in Sky’s money and send what he can back to himself in China.

I received it and what a shallow piece of PR that is. If you think anyone is going to listen to a word any of us has to say you are deluded. I wasted about 10 seconds looking at it and then deleted it.

It reminded me of those Amazon emails where they ask you to review your recent purchase of an ink cartridge. Get a life FFS.

If the football club need a fans' survey to tell them:

the food is crap,
the results are crap,
the football is crap,
the ticket office is crap,
the sound system is crap,
the club's PR is crap,
the half time entertainment is low cost crap,
the players have no loyalty to the club,
ambition drives improvement,
standing still is going backwards,
and that once you say "I know my place" then you have thrown in the towel

then they shouldn't be running a business of any kind whatsoever let alone a football club.
