i said most of your fans thought he was world class. I can grab some posts out if you like.

You might not have called him world class, but you thought he was the best in the PL at one point (for a season anyway). Maybe you think there are no world class defenders in the PL in which case you are correct in your own assessment

That's arguing over semantics though, the point Bobby is making is because he wants to and is leaving you're pretending he won't be a big loss because he's not that great when you've all been bigging him up while he's been there and he's probably (definitely imo) the best cb in the league.

It's nothing unusual, I've watched Saints fans do it for years.

No, it isn't.

Saying he is the best CB in the PL in 2015-16
is not the same as saying he is the best CB in
the world, or one of the best, in 2015-16 or any
other year.

Even you ranked him on the levels of Alli and Kane unless you think alli and kane are only "good"?

Don't put words in my mouth. He's been a very good player for us. Just think there's a reason he's not getting picked and we're not bothered selling to Utd, if rumours are correct. We bought a top class player and he performed to expectations unlike Salah. Cherry pick parts of my posts if you want.

maybe i read your post wrong in which case i'll hold my hands up and say i'm wrong when you mention him being made to look good by the cover in front and to the side of him

I agree with the part in bold.

I also don't think you boys are bothered about selling him as he's had a few injuries and if you're going to sell him for the maximum amount of money (especially the contract running down), this is the summer to do it

As I have stated consistently, if Levy ever agreed to sell him to a Prem rival it would be for silly money.

He hasn’t joined Utd and there’s no sign of anything imminent atm.
