Toby Alderweireld could be heading to United and Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is OK to let him go.
Alderweireld has become one of the best Premier League defenders around since joining Tottenham in 2015.
But the 29-year-old is looking to leave the north London club this summer to secure a major bump in wages.
Sky Sports report that Pochettino is 'happy to sanction' the Belgian’s move to United despite selling to a title rival.

He will be. He's a top cb and would improve any side in the league.
So why were we the only club (along with Saints) in for him when his loan spell ended? The fact that we don't seem to be trying too hard to keep him would make me wary of spending too much on him.

The reason why you’re not trying to hard to keep him is he wants the same deal as the top players at Spuds and they’ve refused point blank bar offer him a derisory sum plus some mug bonuses.

The reason we're not trying is that apparently he believes
VVD is on 200K/week and asked for that, which :

1. got short shrift immediately

2. apparently Man Utd have also told him to eff off
if he thinks they are paying him that.

Think you’ll find United will pay near that.

We were, we bought him, he sucked for us.
So we sold him.....:p
And Schurrle and replaced them both with Cuadrado.
Salah was loaned to Fiorentina as part of that deal and the sold to Roma for €12m.
Doesn't look like the best bit of business with the benefit of hindsight! <laugh>
