My sincere condolences on hearing the above news.
Without doubt you have unfortunately secured the services of very probably the most inept manager ever to be given the title.
If you dont get relegated to oblivion it wont be for his lack of trying.
It is very difficult to pinpoint any ability - although he does a good job with his Evian bottle.
A bigger waste of space would be difficult to think of.
Presumably you dont have a midfield as you certainly wont meed one now.
I wouldnt wish him on my worst enemy.
 
Parky = great bloke, good manager on a small budget, very unlucky at charlton

He will do a great job at Bradford, see you next season!

As you may be aware, our former manager provokes strongly differing opinions among Charlton Athletic supporters.

You will have to make your own minds up about him as the season progresses - just don't expect pretty football and whatever you do, don't try and understand his post-match comments, long term exposure to which could lead to permanent brain damage.

As far as Kyel Reid is concerned, when he can be a*sed, he can be a tremendous player, it's just that he can't be a*sed very often, or at all really, which is why he's been without a club since last season ended. Maybe a change of scenery and the realisation that no-one wanted him when his contract ended will wake him up and work wonders.

Nevertheless I wish good luck to Bradford supporters.
 
i really really really hope parky gets you promoted. It might shut up some of the incredibly cynical, clueless, unrealistic CAFC fans we have.

Anyway, who exactly are you lot all talking to...? There ain't a single Bradford fan to be found anywhere on this page... <laugh>. They must've all gone underground at the news of Parky joining...!!
 
I think this is vastly becoming our reserve board. Just incase the Charlton not606 board gets a bit boring we can all pop over here and discuss the largely tabooed subject of.....Phil Parkinson.
 
History repeating itself..... When Parky took over at Charlton we had Hull fans on 606 telling us how fights were breaking out between the pro and anti Parky fans at Hull.

This is exactly how he is at city, exactly, please take him back. Football is boring and he always sticks with his favourite players, on form or not, blue square here we come.
