I've voted yes, because based on yesterday they are clearly looking for any excuse to go after Hamilton after his "joke" comments this season.
That said, I'm a Hamilton fan, and they were right not to take it any further. They should have officially looked at it before deciding on no further action, but that's just a technicality.

If they were looking for an excuse to go after Hamilton he gave them one, if there was a 'get Hamilton' then he would've received another reprimand for driving into Kamui, but for once they actually used some sense and decided it was a racing incident, which they pretty much all have been this season.
So now that Lewis has admitted it was 100% his fault the question becomes did the stewards blame Lewis and didn't take it further because he had already paid the ultimate penalty? And should he get his third reprimand? Which would give him a penalty for the next race I believe.
Wait what? Petrov got a penalty last year in Japan when he had already went out. I think if they go out of a race and should have got a penalty (if they stayed in, not saying Hamilton should have) then they should get a "reprimand".
It really puzzles me how someone can get away with as much as Lewis had. It also puzzles me how so many people can defend him so much. My only guess would be that it is because I am only following the British coverage and mostly only British media hence people being biased. He has been crashing left and right in every so many races this season I have lost count.
I was actually quite a supporter of Hamilton as a rookie but my applauds have slowly turned into distaste over the years. I still think he have massive skills and talent, no questions, but his behavior/attitude both on and off track is really terrible. He should watch and take a few lessons from Jenson on how to be a good sportsman.
It is probably true that Maldonado and Kobayashi both were partly to blame in their incidents but for every one incident they have been involved in Hamilton have been involved in at least 10 incidents, which probably is the reason why I can not see their faults in these last incidents and only Hamiltons faults as he is almost ALWAYS involved.
I really hope he will switch his roulette-style racing more towards a snooker-style racing. Start using his brain a bit more and stop the gambling. Maybe I can become a supporter again.

It was Hamilton's fault quite clearly he didn't check in his mirrors, but what can he do he has said he doesn't want to change his driving style. Yes his attitude might be horrible, but as a driver he is incredibly talented and gifted, but he needs to use his head properly and get back on track. He is making more mistakes than in his rookie year which is not what you want.

His driving style is irrelevant in this case. Hamilton wasn't being too aggressive, he just made a very basic mistake - not one you'd expect to see from a professional racing driver.
That's what we thought after Monaco.
In roulette you go in very fast circles, hardly slowing until the game is over. In snooker you smash into brightly coloured objects in an attempt to get rid of them.
Personally I'd rather he stuck to the former.
You helped me make my point.. Thanks! Wouldn't have surprised me if Lewis had answered the same if he where to describe roulette and snooker. Well at least, that's the image he portrays with the way he drives and acts at the moment. If you are a Lewis Fan, shouldn't you really be hoping the opposite seeings as his current ways is pretty fruitless?
he's exciting to watch, sort of reminds me of the old guy on GP the killer years 'yes, we come here to see the accidents'. But being exciting doesn't equal being the best, and it doesn't win you titles. for me Hamilton has been on a downward slope since his first season, a bit better opposition in 2008 and he'd still be lookign for a WDC. Not sure he'll add to it if he keeps driving the same way.
Hmm, as a Lewis fan, it's the inconsistency that is frustrating. I can't buy all that 'He's going to kill someone' stuff; he only seems to hurt his own championship. I guess the right word for him is mercurial: one race he is sublime, another clumsy. I wonder sometimes if he's actually getting better with the years. I wouldn't want him to change his style but it needs tweaking.
Then again, everyone has bad races but Lewis attracts so much attention and seems to polarise opinion so much that every time he has a poor race, the forum erupts in fury. He could learn a lesson from Alonso, who used to invoke a similar reaction but has calmed down now and just gets on with it quietly.
ye, that's what I'm getting at Max, when he first came on the scene he was brilliant, now he just seems to make too many rookie errors, and they're getting worse not better, getting to the point where i think he's already peaked and is on the down slide, maybe being upstaged by Vettel has done something to him mentally causing him to push too much and make silly mistakes and decisions.
He's had three shockers in seven races. It's always after he bigs himself up in the press as well - he did it before Monaco, he did it this weekend. He hyped up Spa and Monza last year too, Spa he was excellent but as soon as things went against him in Monza he lost it and only managed to complete one sector.
He needs to let his racing do the talking and stop setting himself up for a fall, championships aren't won in the tabloids.

I doubt that he's peaked already but I think you're right about being upstaged by Vettel. A similar thing happened to Alonso after Lewis came along, like a sort of mental crisis, but Fernando's since got a grip on his temperament and moved on. Like I said before, there's a lesson for Lewis there. I don't think he wanted Seb getting two titles before him but that's just the way it is. Er, will be
As for the bigging himself up, AG, yeah, I wish he'd tone it down a bit. I understand that they have to do it to gee up the fans and the team etc. but a little subtlety wouldn't go amiss.
As someone who is generally anti-death, I'd rather he didn't smash into other cars at high speed. But each to their own.

Since then I honesly believe that he has been a lot more measured in his approach with the media and with his driving. He has been very objective when things have fallen appart, he's controlled his emotions more, always been there to celebrate with the team even after having a turbulent weekend but has still somehow found himself in some awkward spots and in the spotlight.
What happened today was pure motor racing, no malace no bullying, just **** that happens... two drivers go for a corner, potentially both could have avoided the incident, Hamilton tries to take the line, they touch... Hamilton pays the price.
After 25 years of watching F1... I don't recall such desire to vilify a driver, not even Schumacher who still takes unfair criticism... despite potentially and most likely being the greatest driver in the history of the sport.
very interesting views here guys and being a hamilton fan i HAVE to agree. His inconsistancy is all over the place and i really cant pinpoint what it is. I do wonder what goes on in his head at times . i know drivers have there off period but with lewis its like accidents are magnectic towards him . It really is sad to see , He keeps being over aggresive when he needs to carm down and adjust his approach. He needs to get his head back in gear . He cant afford to keep having these type of situations . It puts him down,the team,his fans and his reputation. Lewis is still one of the best out there but he needs to recess his approach and commitment . Lewis needs to find that consistancy that he had in 07 . For me this has been Lewis worst season so far (race to race) p.s well done to jenson he has gone up in my estimations this year he has driven better than Hamilton and his championship winning season, He has really upped his game this year and deserves more but Mclaren are messing him up(again) .

Lewis has to make a judgement choice for the rest of his career. Does he stick to the word of Senna, "If you no longer go for gap that exists, your no longer a racing driver" attitude and hope he is going through a bad spell.
Or does he make a smart call and admit he has to take different approach to racing and take it to Seb, Alonso and Jenson on their territory of consistency, think more and maybe win more world titles.
I'm not an expert let alone a race driver of Lewis' caliber, but come on, 2 silly DNF's now, with 7 races to go so it's maybe worth a few concerns about his race craft, especially for his level as top tier.
Maybe these are the warning bells Lewis' dad has been trying to tell him when he was hooking up with Nichole. This is why Seb has surpassed Lewis and maybe even Alonso as the most complete driver, the kid never leaves the simulator and just doesnt really care for the glamour like Lewis and Jenson and he will stay like that for the rest of his career because thats his mentality. Hamilton has to rethink what he really wants in his life because the desire "eye of the tiger" is looking just like in Rocky 3.
