I remember when he replaced Sven as England boss - for his first game the BBC advertised the match with “won’t get fooled again” by The Who.

I think it was meant to signify Sven was a Charlatan who had been found out, but all I could think of was “meet the new boss, same as the old boss”. I’d like to think the music editor thought that too.

As far as My Generation is concerned, I Can’t Explain why The Seeker of the next manager isn’t getting on the Magic Bus and getting a better appointment Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere. McClaren is just a Substitute and we should Join Together and lobby for me to do it instead. I’m Free.

There has got more in it than just appointing Steve as manager, taking this long it’s got to be joint or new buyer coming in.

I may be wrong jeff but I think the only reason we think it's taking time is because people (not the club) keep coming up with dates. These 'he will be signing on Monday' posts have no substance. I just think we are doing things properly.

Agree Ellers & by all accounts he should’ve been in last Friday! Papers different sites & sky know nothing, glad we are taking time & as you said properly, it will all come out soon!
