People don’t think Gabbi is PL quality?

*scratches head*

He obviously has the quality. It's whether or not he is suited to the Premier League though. Many strikers better than him have come to England and failed.

Hughes took one look at him (against Wigan), and that was enough to convince him he wasn't up to the job. Pellegrino gave Gabbi plenty of opportunities at the beginning of the season, but he failed to do anything at all. We can blame service and formations, but at least Long and Austin work hard even when we aren't creating much. I'm not sure if Gabbi is a luxury we can afford to keep gambling on.

I really hope Gabbi stays and we get one or two quality attacking midfield players who can supply him.

He could possibly be our 20 goal a season striker. Then sold for a huge profit...

Are you saying JWP isn’t quality? Because people are insisting differently.

Actually, apparently our entire team is awesome. We scored one more goal than Burnley.

Think we need a bit of a clear out this summer. A few players have gone stale over the last season or so, though that could be due to the totally negative attitude drilled into them by the previous 2 managers? One big lesson that should have been learnt is that you can't have players who don't want to be here (aka, VVD), dragging on through to the January transfer window.IMHO this is why Bertrand and Cedric will be going, but what ever we do, get it sorted early, both player in and outs, and the manager situation.

That German chap, Kevin looked like he could pick a pass for Gabbi.... let’s hope he has a poor World Cup so nobody picks him up.

We need to find the luxury of someone who will score goals and then provide him with the means to do it. Charlie can do it, but increasingly unfit. A goal scorer is the one gamble worth taking.

Without goals a team will struggle. *

People like Tadic, JWP, Romeu, Lemina, Højbjerg...and even Redmond seems to have his supporters at this moment.

And yet the problem is that Gabbiadini doesn’t get the ball played to his feet enough. How is that going to change if none of the midfield or even wingers change?

The fact is, Austin dealt with the same issues every other striker did but unlike them was successful at putting the ball into the net at a pretty decent rate.

So either we are going to have to swap out some midfielders or we think about selling Gabbiadini. We currently play with one attacking mid. If Gabbiadini isn’t get the ball played in correctly, JWP needs to grab a seat on the bench.

Under hughes I think he would get that service, we've been much more direct.

To me out of the strikers we have right now Gabbi seems most suited for the balls in behind we're playing under hughes style although hughes seems to have established Austin as his favourite.

But he is sweet. :)

Did anyone see the Newcastle Chelsea game?

We need someone like Shelvey...

Every pass forward...

Quick edit... he better be in the England squad! Or I will be spitting feathers...

We still have not replaced the 25 goals a season we sold a couple of seasons ago when Pelle and Mane went. This must be sorted this summer otherwise we will be back in the relegation zone again

A realistic wish list for me would be
Sisto Pione
New contract for McCarthy
2 new CB
1 NEW RB
One of Boufal / Redmond to be replaced

Find suitable homes for Carrillo, Davis and possibly Yoshida
