... finishing higher ... simples. The future is bright, Iheanacho, Diabate, Gray, Choudhury, Ndidi, Maguire, Elder, Chilwell, Barnes... all under 25 ... more coming through ... mix in a few experienced heads .. very exciting squad.
True. Well he scored 4 in the end of season game last season and that was at our place. He’s at home this time, Wednesday aside we are a lot worse than we were at the end of last season and of course he is apparently the best player in the world ever playing for the best team ever so surely only 4 or 5 would be a disappointment
We aren't John ... we had just about all the then regular defenders out in the game at ours last season and Fuchs playing as an emergency centre half ... We had 5 21 year olds playing against Palace plus we went down to 10 men ... but the performance against Arsenal was a fairer reflection of our capability and potential ... more balanced and purposeful. Today will be interesting as both teams don't have much to play for and can therefore play with a fair degree of freedom.
I can't believe I'm at ****ing work, hoping to get everything done and boxed off so I can watch it on my phone at one of the quieter houses... No way am I missing it, they'll have to be a house fire or something as extreme for me to miss it. It's win, win though for Liverpool as even if we lose today we've still got the CL final on 26th
**** the golden boot, everyone seems a bit obsessed about it. Not really into these individual awards personally. Kane wouldn't have scored half his goals without Erikson and Alli. Salah wouldn't have scored half his goals without Mane and Firmino. City have outscored everyone by a mile but won't get a golden boot. Load of bollox really.
Scoring over 30 league goals in this league is a cracking achievement irrespective of who’s provided the assists. He arrived without the level of expectation to deliver anything like he has done though, so it’ll be interesting to see how he copes with having that expectation on his shoulders moving forwards. If he repeats the feat in future seasons, then he can be talked about in the same breath as the likes of Messi and Ronaldo.
I called it in June mate, I expected it. But yeah he even said in a recent interview the comparisons with Raonaldo and Messi are stupid as they've done it for years and years. Seems like a decent humble guy actually.
Salah could actually break the record for goals scored in a 38 game season today. Crazy for a first full season. He already holds the joint record.
I agree. However, what he’s delivered this season is such a massive step change ahead of what he’s done in previous seasons, so is he a one season wonder or will he continue to deliver at that sort of level? The jury is out, as he’ll have to prove it.
He's not a one season wonder, you can just tell that he's got that something special. He might not hit the same numbers again but he's a special player.
...and yet Vardy is still the most effective goalscorer agaonst the 'Big 6' ... who'd have thought it? ... thank God England have got him for the World Cup
****ing Sky Got sky sports app free with my phone contract. Has 8 sports channels but doesn't have 'sky main event'. All the other games I can watch except the Liverpool one. Have to buy a day pass ffs! Or could stream on work computer but that's a bit risky. Rip off ****s.
...and Kane. Whether he scores any today or not, to have been the division's top scorer for the past two seasons and second best for this is a colossal achievement, far better than Salah's, who has everything to prove still.
