I think Button is cautious in a way, perhaps watchful is a better word. His judgement is unparalleled, if the move isn't there to be made he doesn't force it like others might. I've said it before and I'll say it again now: for me, his racecraft is better than anyone else, he's ruthless with his overtaking, clean in defence and he doesn't make mistakes.
I'm saying nobody is at fault for this incident, but come on! You can't blame Kamui for this one, no way, not without labeling that Lewis turns into him. So people say Seb was at fault doing the same thing to Webber, by not looking in his mirrors, but somehow Lewis is the innocent party member here and they say Kamui is at fault. Come on lets have some consistency and look at past results.
Kobi: "Regarding the accident with Lewis Hamilton, which happened when I was running in fourth, I knew perfectly well he was faster than me so had no reason to fight with him. After he overtook me it was not my intention to get my position back, so I stayed on my line and didnât expect him to move over." The follow up question should be: then why was you side by side if you had no reason to fight with him?
He's saying he had no intention of fighting Lewis on the straight until the next corner came up, true to his word he didn't move from his line.
In retrospect is was very similar to button and Hamilton in Canada, and I still stick with my racing incident opinion. Two drivers holding their line.
Maldonado has criticised Hamilton's driving again. WTF? He should look at his own performances, today was good but he isn't the cleanest driver on the grid. That has ****** me off big time!
Bah, Maldonado will likely have a chip on his shoulder to Lewis in the future regarding Monaco, best thing for Lewis is to keep his nose clean for a race or two and try not to ruffle a few drivers.
I never thought I'd say this but I actually agree with the stewards and Eddie Jordan. Kobayashi cannot be blamed, it was just a racing incident.
To be fair to him, Lewis bumped him out in Monaco and then made some disparaging remarks after the grand prix.
There you have it folks, Lewis says it was his fault 100% http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2011/08/28/hamilton-accepts-blame-kobayashi-crash/ Now let's get over it...
I hope that people are willing to give him credit for so openly taking liability. Not all drivers are capable of that. Kudos to Hamilton.
Yes, I was being facetious. Kudos to Lewis for holding his hand up and also to Bruno for doing the same.
how could he deny it? it was blatantly obvious from the replays who was at fault, and yet still here the same old same olds blame anyone but Hamilton
I will blame Hamilton on this one, firstly because i'm not afraid people's reactions and secondly because it actually was his fault.
