I am absolutely disgusted with our performance tonight. We haven't played that bad all season!
Gutierrez is a waste of space and needs to go at the end of the season. Simpson is useless, Nolan hardly touched the ball and whenever he did he gave it away.
LEON BEST IS NOT FIT TO WEAR THE SHIRT, he makes no effort and to be blunt he is only championship quality.
I have a really bad feeling we are about to be dragged into a relegation battle.

That game really was SHOCKING! No idea's from most of the team and the strikers were totally inept. Ranger just ran around like a headless chicken again. We are in real trouble to find goals now.

What was the possession totals in the end? I think at half time it was 73% in our favour and we only had one shot on target FFS!

I'm worried to say the least. Ranger was so dissapointing on a night he should have been up for when he came on. Leon Best HAS to do better with that header, I really think Nolan needs to be pushed up top with God knows who and play a 4-4-1-1. Maybe then we can play the ball rather than hoofing it up where BREDE BIG F'N **** HANGELAND IS!!! I mean who really thought that was a good idea? Let's bash it up in the air and hope Hangeland misses it, well done.

Such a poor performance, really sick with Ranger and his lack of everything, Best was frustrating, I dunno what was going on at the back all night with Fulham getting in behind too easy.

Time to ditch the tactics thus far as we don't have a player anywhere near good enough up front to pull them off as we did with Carroll.

PS Wonder if Ashley is still happy he didn't sign a replacement? Maybe Shearer had a point you t**t.

Simpson had a off day but agree about Ranger and Best both dreadful, but midfield didnt do much either.

    Best players Joseand Collo.

Anyone know when STaylor back, Williamson was shocking tonight.

people may not be keen on the ireland signing but for me, great business. we needed someone tonight who could thread a throughball and him and ben afra could do that.
perfect example was when we were on the counter attack with guthrie, lovenkrands made a terrific run inbetween a huge gap between the centre backs but guthrie who doesn't have creative bone in his body failed to see the blatantly obvious pass to slide through and our attack eventually broke down. story of the match

Oh bloody hell we lose one game and everyone acts like it's the end of the world.

Reality check: teams lose games. Even the top four teams occasionally lose games.

Considering how the past few days have been, I didn't expect us to have much confidence or fighting spirit. Since the weekend, the team has probably been focused a lot more on the deadline saga than the actual match. It'll just be a blip until we get over that and start focusing on the matches again.

As for the striker situation, I'm not too worried yet. To be honest, Shola never really looks like scoring and I'm always surprised when he does. With him out, we have Lovenkrands and Ranger who CAN score goals. Lovenkrands just needs to step up and Ranger needs to bag his first EPL goal to build his confidence.

Lovenkrands and Ranger who CAN score goals.... Hate to disagree but clearly not. Ranger has not improved in the slightest the last few months and there's no sign that he is gonna score. Lovenkrands, well yea, I have most of my faith in him than any other striker. Maybe him and HBA wouldn't be a bad idea up top? Go with pace over the big strikers.

yes 1 game but it is agame that we should be looking at getting something out of if we are to survive
shola normally plays 1 game then injured for 2 - didn't expect six

It's because we where playing with 10 men. GUTHRIE DOES NOTHING! He makes zero effort! He's ****!

Nolan made some good tackles, just when you've got a midfielder who ****s one when you hand him the ball (Guthrie) you can't create anything.

How many starts has he been given in that time? None, if I recall correctly. Just a handful of short substitute appearances. He's only 19, he hasn't scored a goal yet and he needs to get his first to build his confidence. The ability is there in abundance.

In fact, this is the only time he's had a lengthy amount of game time and that's the game immediately after this carroll saga when everyone is feeling low. Even then, he made a 180 degree turn and shot which I could not imagine any of our other players doing. It required a good save to stop it going in.

Just have patience. Ranger might start in a few games now so we can see what he does then.

It was pretty obvious to me that we would suffer a massive hang-over in this fixture - everybody was hopeless, with the exception of Steve Harper. The team looked de-moralised and lacking fight. I think we're going to really struggle from now on. Fulham are a very average Premier League team and we simply couldn't compete. I hope that £35m will cover the cost of our relegation.

We'll be ok guys, when Carroll was due to return we will have HBA, Ireland and Gosling back, should be enough to fire us up again. Tough 3 weeks ahead but they can recover.

Your name seems rather relevant to the current situation. I'd say we're at the 'Drawn' stage at the moment, Arsenal will 'Quarter' us for sure!

When Tiote returns against Arsenal I think we might see a more attacking performance - Barton having to track back too much and defend, whereas hopefully Tiote will give the rest of midfield the confidence to push forward
