Fealt good typing that heading. <cheers>

Ok. Here we go. The summer transfer window.

Prudent not exuberance is the watch word. Lessons learned and an old head at the helm.

Proven players in the top flight or a bit of a punt? Players from the relegated clubs or unattached players from further up the food chain? Brits or foreign players?

Lots of questions, but who has the answers?

What's the news and what are the views?

Can you make this a sticky please Sparkey.

Well someone has, but it wasn't me......<laugh>

Yes remote, this summer is going to be very, very interesting.

I'm sure there will be plenty to talk about and I hope it encourages some other infrequent posters to join in. <ok>

I think elsewhere names like Joe Allen and Aaron Ramsey were mentioned.

More in hope than expectation.

When Burnley strengthen their squad could Sam Vokes be a possibility? That's me starting a bit of gossip. Not even a rumour - yet!!!

Bryson would be my 1st, not going to break the bank and can do a job. A good team player.

I'll agree with that - a very important cog who would give everything for us in the Prem. I like his attitude, I like his style.

I can't imagine Derby have 3 better midfield players in their squad this season to keep him off the pitch - crazy decsion to put him out on loan.

He improved with more game time but a bit injury prone. Has another year on his contract with Derby and as he will be 32 in November they may be keen to offload him. Can't imagine they would want more than £500k although with our Prem status they might try and up the ante a bit. Be good if Colin could get him on a free. Worth no more than a 2 year contract .

I'd give him that tomorrow if Derby want to get rid.

If Derby do manage to go up, then they will certainly ditch him given Rowett's approach this season - if not they might decide to keep him for next season.

Having said that, personally, I hope Fulham stuff Derby on Friday and in the second leg although that might prevent us getting him.

I want ben woodburn on loan the lad needs playing time and we could be perfect for his rise ........but I trust in Warnock 2 make some wiser decisions than myself.
