The outcome was never in any doubt was it? The only doubt was going to be the farcical manner in which they would engineer and then justify it. I've almost been looking forward to this and it is the predicted comedy gold. At this moment, I don't even feel sad about it, just a sense of resignation.
I hate what is happening to our club. I won't be cancelling my membership. I genuinely can't ever imagine myself not going. Maybe I'm sad and don't have much going in my life or I'm addicted.
Ehab can't even win his vote even when he doesn't give the vote In the second ballot to those who voted against him in the first
I heard he doesnt' treat his polo ponies all that well either, I'm sure they're plotting revenge as we speak. please log in to view this image
I’m genuinely interested as to why the club,in their infinite wisdom, have decided to liaise with the FSF in regards to the concesssions vote when the very same FSF have backed the Trust every step of the way in their dealings with the Allams over this issue.....do they think their opinion will be any different? I mean, the Trust is pretty much a club-based extension of the FSF in many ways. Very, very odd.
Is that really correct? I don't think I got the chance to vote second time, but was never going to anyway, so no idea if I could?. It would be fascinating to see the detailed breakdown of both ballots
I felt the same about not going, but there's a big world out there and a lot to do. I've got more hobbies to keep myself busy when I'm bored and my life now consists of more than work, football and beer. I doubt I will get another season ticket anyway, particularly with the availability of watching from my overseas home these days. I still try to watch most games.
'Content' is the word I'd use. I wish Ms Beercock well in her search for a new job. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Exactly this, but we all know they will not accept defeat in any form, and I have this feeling that they will now try and turn this round and use against us. They mentioned last year a veiled threat about putting administrators in to run the club for them, I can see them pocketing the last parachute monies and then due to the fall off of support/attendance, blaming apathy of City supporters for the club not being self financing or viable and calling in the administrators. They would probably have great pleasure in leaving us where they found us, not their fault, blame us, the spiteful gits.
Absolutely agree. I expect a lawsuit against every City fan (present or past) for loss of their earnings. Allams are the victims in this after all
I just googled parachute payments, 'The Black Cats will receive £35m from the Premier League this season and next, and then in the 2019-20 season they will receive a further £14m.' We will be the same as Sunderland, whereby 'this season' refers to 2017-18. So they still have two season of payments then? I'm sure next season even with little other income, they'll probably make a healthy profit with a massively reduced wage bill? Following season, they would probably then start haemorrhaging money and want to get rid.
We only get next season's money because we came down after one season. The rock hits the hard place at the end of next season. The Allams, if they still own the club, will be solely dependant on ticket sales, sponsorship, match day TV coverage, beer and pies, shirt sales and other commercial income.
Ok. Why the end, is the £35m spread over the season? It's incomprehensible that loyal supporters are actually hoping we DON'T receive stupid amounts of money. 'EPL' /Sky has spawned this.
I've been bamboozled why so many have thought there was hope. They thought it was important to have dialogue. They thought it important to vote, and then they didn't think it so important. They have been frustrated at a lack of punctuality on the promises given. I'm sorry, but this was predictable and never more than a time wasting game of humiliation and revenge. Folk shook their hand and met with them, they attempted collaboration, when all of the time the Allams were pissing on their shoes. Some ask, why the FSF? It's simple, when you think about it; they are the next time-wasters, the next for soggy shoes. They have supported our support and that has annoyed the Allams, so they will be toyed with and, eventually, publicly shunned. That should see out the parachute payments and herald in the age of pseudo-administration, until the fully fledged Administration is imposed. Only a sale staves this off. Talking to these two doesn't work, it's counter-productive; so is taking a part in their manipulate ballots and meetings. Is the lesson now learnt? I hope so.
Do you really believe anyone thought it would end any differently Fez? We had to play to their whims. At each step, it shows them up for the idiots they are. Tell us what you think they have gained from these ballots.
Howden, last year after the player awards I posted up that two folks I know very, VERY well indeed had overheard (as did one or two others) Ehab shouting quite loudly at someone that they, The Allams were going to take all their money out and leave the club exactly where 'they' found it. I received one or two messages to say I was talking bollocks. We'll see!
They really are poisonous ****ers Fez, I hear what you're saying, I also heard and understood it when you first said it, however I'd never blame Geoff and the Trust for trying. At least said poisonous ****ers can't say that the Trust didn't try. Yes it's all some sort of sick game with the Allam's but unfortunately, at the moment, most of the balls are in their court (pardon the pun), but this won't always be so. Good or bad, owners come and go, as do players and managers, hopefully it really grates on the Allam's that, no matter what, the only permanent in any club is its fans, the ones that they appear intent to piss off, we'll all be here long after the old man is in the ground, and after his poisonous son has been ****ed up by someone that he's ****ed off, as we all know karma is a wonderful thing. All of this is a long drawn out game, I'm playing, even though I'm boycotting, at some stage I'll be back, at some stage they'll be gone, and at some other stage they'll get well and truly shafted.
And the longer Geoff, the Trust and ourselves continue to keep trying, the more it shows them up for what they are, even if we are just an irritant. And the greater the chance that I am still alive to just watch Ehab (Assam may get away with that one) get that well and true shafting
