Need to beat Roma first but if we can't go through with a 3 goal lead we don't deserve to anyway. Real have an experienced side, they'll take advantage of moments in the final.
I have to agree with luv. It would be foolish to write Real off. Ok, they’ve looked little better than ordinary throughout the whole campaign, but here they are again in yet another CL final. They’ve just somehow beaten Juve and Bayern to get there. To think they can’t also beat Liverpool is a bit hopeful.
You have to beat Real by two or three to beat them by one when you take the referee into account. If Real are a reasonable price they have to be fancied.
I just read a headline that says 'Martial to Chelsea?' I'm sure he lays in bed dreaming of the balls he could be receiving from Danny Drinkwater if they didn't end up in row Z.
He’d probably get a game, probably under a more attacking manager and he might smile a bit living in Surrey instead of Hale.
Don’t get me wrong I think the bloke is moody and plays within himself but maybe that’s the fault of managers. If he’s as talented as his price suggested he was he’s not shown it near enough. A change would probably do him good and I can see why a young French bloke with loadsamoney would prefer London and would give up sitting on the bench in Champ League games for that.
Funny that people automatically assume London life is preferable to anywhere else in the country, Morata thinks it's a ****hole. He's certainly as talented as his price suggests in today's money, he has almost everything. If he adds discipline to his game (which he's getting better at) he can achieve whatever he wants, we don't want or need another Di Maria.
It is preferable when you’re on that sort of money. Morata would be an exception rather than the rule if that’s true. Will he be first choice next season? If so I don’t see where. He’s not a kid so if he wants games he should go.
I'm not sure he knows that much about London life. Most of these guys tend to live out near the training ground, which in Chelsea’s case, is darkest Surrey.
More anonymity. Better/more clubs/restaurants, more of your mates and countrymen at other clubs nearby, more crap for the missus to do. Personally if I was foreign and came to this country on a normal wage I’d live like a king in Liverpool or Manchester rather than a pauper in London if I had the choice. For the super rich, I don’t see what the north would have over it.
I don't buy that pal, you're talking as if Manchester has only got Nando's and nowhere to go for a beer other than some scruffy boozer in Stretford. It's not like these foreign players struggle to make friends with anybody who isn't from their own country either. It's personal preference innit, some people love the big city, others prefer to be able to get to the shop for some milk without having to plan a 3 day trip.
I really like Manchester. I did a secondment in an old job at the Co-Op egg-shaped office and spent most of the week up there for a few months and loved it. Just saying there isn’t the scale or choice like London, so it’s more of a goldfish bowl for these guys.
