I guess we should make all afro-carribbeans and british asians wear their national dress everyday.

God knows why they think they look good in our western clothes!

It's about the history of the Chinese in America. The person wearing the dress is from the dominant culture who oppressed the Chinese. To a person of Chinese heritage in America that can be offensive. The tweets from the Chinese man suggests he's offended, I'm just putting forward a reason why that could be.

Those on our board know the story attached to my username - which I've had for about 12 years btw - but I won't bore you with it. I thought your name was a small town in Italy but it's a different spelling.
