...even if we do not win the FA Cup.

Let me take you all back to the start of the season.

The media was engaged in a mutual masturbation frenzy over the prospect of both 'Pool and United challenging for the title, whilst it was assumed that Chavs would defend their title. Obviously, City would be in the mix, what with the fact that they are sponsored by the Persian Gulf oil fields. Arsenal, it was understood, would battle bravely for top 4.

Meanwhile, lowly Spurs were written off by practically everyone.

You see, we had to play all of our home games at Wembley; and if that was not going to prove distracting enough, we had to fight the Wembley Hoodoo, a mythical curse that seemed to be haunting only Spurs.

Fast-forward 34 games later, and Spurs sit 4th in the league table, a mere three points off 'Pool and with a game in hand. We sit a mere 6 points off United, with a game in hand.

Sure, we may finish the season in 4th spot, but we will finish closer to both media darlings than the hack muppets ever thought possible.

So, my question is, would 3rd spot be considered a fantastic achievement for Spurs?

I think the answer to that is clearly "yes!"

3rd spot represents a failure on last years second league placing especially as 'Harry was coming for us'. My prescient thread on your dismal shortcomings is spot on as you have failed to improve as a club while your Spivvy chairman pockets the cash. It seems the supporters are happy to be bridesmaids as well as the club.

<ok>
Done

It's better than 6th, yeah?

4th and no trophy is what Spurs fans derided Arsenal for, whilst actually being below us.
Now Spurs look likely to finish above us for a second time in 23 years and yet still havent won anything, so not a lot to crow over really.

are you not taking the chopper to the game to watch from a corporate box with your showbiz friends ?

Wrong. Please stop repeating this, as no Spurs fan derided Arsenal on account of this.

The derision was down to the fact that you finished 4th for more than two decades without winning the CL.

No, mate. I don't own a chopper. I never (seriously) claimed that I did. That all sprang about because I once wrote on this board that I had taken a chopper tour over the Grand Canyon. Pixie and his witless 'Pede translated that into "you said you owned a chopper to belittle us ****wits, so you are the most reprehensible man on the Planet!" etc.

:emoticon-0113-sleep:emoticon-0113-sleep:emoticon-0113-sleep ...

So not really like winning the title then Quentin? ... now that's always a cracking achievement ... 38 game marathon ... best team unquestionably wins ... <ok> .. third? ... well they're just third .... nobody ever remembers the team that finishes third ... unless it's a two horse race, of course <laugh>

Players will want out from the Spuds if they don't start winning things, Kane needs silverware and will leave to get it.

3rd place is not good enough for them and 2nd is out of reach.
This pisses me off just as much as players of relegated teams forming a queue to leave because they want to play in the PL.
You want to win something? you had chances and failed.
You want to play in the PL? you just have and failed.

Some players must have a very low opinion of their team mates because they seem to blame others for failure but never themselves.

That's not true though is it bullshitter ?

Oh, and did I ever tell you lads that I can fly a helicopter ?

No they ****ing weren't you bullshitting donk <laugh>. They were expected to improve on their 2nd place finish and actually win a pot this season.

Instead you'll finish lower, got dumped out of the CL again and ****ed it up in the league cup and wet your pants again in the SF of the FA cup.

You've choked again big style. Spurs are bottlers, like you :)
