Kelso 5.10 SIERRA OSCAR e/w @ 16/1 Back down to mark of 98,the same mark from which his sole win came twelve months ago at Huntingdon. Not set the world alight since changing hands but did offer glimmer of hope here two starts back when beaten 8ls in a better looking contest than this(the first five home that day were rated 107,117,110,108 and 116 with three of the ones behind rated 115,114 and 112.The form of his racecourse debut in a Market Rasen bumper also reads well in the context of this race.He was 3rd just 7ls behind Mount Mews who went on to land a grade 2 hurdle off 133 and earn a high rating of 145.Been off the track five months but gets good chunk of weight from the top two and looks bit of value in a poor contest.
From a shrewdie's horses to follow for this Flat season. So far 2 have run: Delano Roosevelt 2nd 7/2, and Cimeara W 14/1. Tomorrow (Monday): 15:30 Leopardstown - Broadway 10/3 WH 16:00 Leopardstown - Gardens of Babylon 5/6 generally.
4 20 Windsor - Blaine Tough job on top weight, even tougher job with Spencer onboard however 20/1 today when it won on last years reappearance and on a higher mark (Now only 89) has to be worth a bet so is a fair price could make a mockery of it like it did last year
Just a couple of very modest e/w patents at Windsor for me today. 220 - Marietta Robusti (already copped a 30p bloody rule 4 250 - Solesmes 330 - Fast and Hot 420 - Mobsta 450 - Unbridled Spirit 525 - East Coast Lady
First one in. It was the only one to chase the run away leader which suggested it was a proper gamble and then made a hash of the last but still won easily enough. But of course the trainer knows absolutely fook all about it
Fair play if they pull it off as they've picked a tough looking bumper against Mullins, Elliott and De Bromhead. I love to see a gamble pulled off even if I've got no financial interest in it.
I'd like to say that's what I was doing just going for biggest price but I genuinely looked at it and thought the market was wrong and would have had my horse around half what it was. But I got it completely wrong I don't mind admitting that. On to Newmarket tomorrow love flat racing so much more exciting to watch
