because you have made the argument:

Do bad things = be seen as the bad guy

I just wrote a list of bad things Britain has done in recent history without in going into our colonial period so we're not always the good guys

So then he is a gutless jellyfish. He was in the remain camp but was a leaver. Why didn't he have the Ed balls to say? And people say he has integrity? <laugh> That's not 'political gaming' that's just being worried about your seat and not your principles. next.

well he still has integrity in the fact he's isnt out and out lying to the public that you normally get.

He's just not being true to his principals by coming out with what he actually believes

Most of what you said was incorrect anyway. You need to go back to reading history fella because you sound silly. (I used that word as to not get personal).
As for the British colonial period, it's wasn't all bad. It just sounds good using it in a debate. However, it is fundamentally flawed because our colonial days are a long time ago now. We are in the 21st Century if you haven't noticed and many modern nations don't act like the way Russia and Syria and Iran do. Or Iraq, Libya did.

So he is lying then? If he cannot be true in probably the most important decision this country has made in recent times how can he be trusted to lead it? The truth is he cannot and will probably never get the chance.

  8. Does anyone feel a bit more comfortable about the action because France took part? I certainly do on the basis that it's not another UK / US double act!

which part was untrue about us supporting other tyrant nations/dictators and killing civilians ourselves?

There's a difference between lying and saying nothing.

I'm not a labour supporter and i haven't ever voted. Not sure if Corbyn is the right person to lead us but i can tell that he is more honest than 95% of all of the prominent leaders. I can also see that May and Johnson are both travesties to our government. Both are preferable to Abbott that ****** and hypocrite

How do you know that then? That is just your opinion which has no substance. You don't know these people.
I am no Corbyn fan but I am also open enough to moan if May, Trump, whoever does something I do not believe is right. Corbyn has a very seedy past. He has in the past supported nasty organizations. Even recently, the Jewish community had to complain over a picture. Once again he kept quiet until he knew it would damage him.
This is not me being anti-Corbyn it is fact. He may not lie but he is not open with the truth. You make what you want of it.

That's fair enough. might be semantics our debate earlier (when you called him a liar) but outright lying and not being open with the truth are very big differences in my book.

I agree that he doesn't always tell it as it is.

The French have in the past gone against us and are not so supportive to the US. The reason they were this time was because they had workers doing humanitarian work on the ground in Syria confirming it was a chemical attack. After what has happened in France in recent years im not surprised.

  13. Agree with all of that. I just think their involvement strengthens the case. It was the same with the Russian diplomats. Macron wasn't going to act because of something Theresa May had written on the back of a *** packet

If Corbyn could never possibly become PM - as you keep telling us - why do you keep banging on about him?

Bit like what has Stalin killing 10 million of his own people got to do with my point about why Russia is paranoid? Deflecting away from the subject of debate isn't just the preserve of your opponents in the argument

Not fussed about that at all. Operation Fear backfired spectacularly in the last election and ramping it up next time may well have him emigrating to his holiday home in France.:emoticon-0116-evilg

When I read idiotic comments like these I realize there is no point debating with you. From that comment, it shows your lack of knowledge and understanding of basic history. You really don't know what you are talking about do you?

    Tell that to...
Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria,Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Germany (remember they built a wall and imprisoned 100's thousands). Not to mention all the smaller states that have now got independence. They tried it on with both Norway and Austria. Even today Finland and many Scandinavian countries have had Russian incidents.
Not to forget Afghanistan in the 80's, influence in North Korea, Syria.
The Warsaw pact had plans drawn up to attack the whole of Europe yet you say....

Shall we talk up to date Ukraine, Georgia, Crimea?

This is why you fail because you talk utter rubbish. Stick to cracking jokes about my holiday home because your understanding of history is pathetic. Muppet

Maybe you should read back and see the digs about My degree, my home in France and other things. I responded to his previous posts but then usual responses come out. However you are correct and I should not have called him what I did so Sorry for that Yorkshire :emoticon-0148-yes:.
