As he was stupid enough to announce it, when he should have just done whatever he is planning, Russia has called his bluff by saying they will shoot down any planes/missiles and sink any ships which launch missiles. What does Trump do now, the fat boy has been put on the spot again by Putin.
Well Trump has claimed he is sending missiles to Syria anyway. Shiny ones at that.
Dangerous here. If Putin doesn't shoot them down he loses face. If he does shoot them down then that is a direct act of military force against US military force.
Russia probably feel like idiots for putting Trump on the throne now. They did it to make the US weaker, which it has, but his rashness and irresponsibility could make things difficult for them.
On one hand I like that Trump doesn't back down to Putin. Putin needs to be slapped around before he respects you, on the other hand I don't trust Trump to not go too far. You need someone more wily to go head-to-head with Putin. Trump is all black or white.
There won't be direct war between East and West but with stubborn aggressive idiots in charge of the US and Russia then Syria could become am even worse place as the two sides take their anger out on each other there.
A Vietnam/Korea for the 21st Century is a potential possibility.
One of the main reasons labour did so well in last election was them having her vanish.
