Not making it, it'll be from the local Gurkha restaurant.

Will take a pic of it on my plate though!

Lamb Choila to start and Sunsari chicken for main.

This place is just a little shop, BYO booze if you eat in too so you can drink whatever you want rather than Cobra or Kingfisher. It's basically Indian food but with some Nepalese regional variants and it's cooked in an open kitchen so you know it's not just one big pot of curry sauce with spices and bits added to 'create' whatever you've ordered, it's cooked right there from fresh.

It's a great little place, wish it was where I live rather than where I work.

Just the one? What else did you get to eat over there, apart from chicken and rice?

The Gurkhas attached to us decided to make it one day, went out and bought a goat and slaughtered it. Not something they would do every day. They had to slaughter it at the side of the entrace checkpoint to the base because the Americans wouldn't let them in with a live animal so they killed it and asked if it was now ok?

Ah, right mate. Didn't realise you were serving over there <ok>

I was there back in the 80's.

It was either rice and chicken, or rice and goat.

Unless the philipino's were cooking a barbie.

You didn't ask what you were eating then <laugh>

Forgot to take a picture!

It was lush. Had momo to start, which were these lamb dumpling things with a hot chutney , and Everest gurkha special, hot, for main with some rice and a couple of chapati.

Tremendous.

I had cows head, rice and chips tonight. Very chewy. Wouldn't be bothered if I never ate it again.

Goat on the other hand is now one of my favourite meats. Beautiful.
