How did Glen Hoddle ever get to be a manager, btw? He doesn't seem to understand what he's watching most of the time.

He was spot on in the first half when Macca was having a go at TAA for backing off. Other than that I'd agree though, he's boring too.

He was but not many pundits pull their colleagues up for being a tit though
Thing is, we all know Macca's an eejit, but he's only a pundit and in good company - Glen has managed several clubs and the national team, but doesn't really seem to understand what he's watching. Baffling.

I'm still a bit happy..

First 10 minutes of 2nd half I went "oh here we go...panick" saw Firminho give balls away because the guy he thought would be at his left was now camped ten yards back... you could see his frustration ...and tbf Klopp was screaming at them too for being deep.

Then Salah went off and I'll give our guys due... they them knew what was what
.. defend the assault... did it so well there wasn't actually an assault.

As a prick who has rightly murdered our team for not defending collectively when clearly in front... I applaud the last 30 minutes.... <applause>

Even Lovren Jimmy :smiley-finger007:

TAA ... reminded me it's harsh to criticise the young.....

Mane. . Ballsey today.

Midfield was still a bit pants but solid.... which is a good thing when 3-0 up lol

Keeper
..well he could be **** .... how would we know? <laugh>

First off don't condone idiots throwing stuff at team buses.

But equating tonight to the Dortmund attack is going a little too far. Throwing bottles is hardly the same as someone setting off a bomb.

Speaking after his side's 3-0 quarter-final first-leg defeat, Guardiola said he "did not expect" the incident to happen and referenced the attack on the Borussia Dortmund's team bus last April, which left defender Marc Bartra injured.

"Normally when the police know it is going to happen, they tried to avoid it from happening," said ex-Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss Guardiola. "So I did not expect it from the Liverpool side, their people.

"One year ago something happened in Dortmund."

Can I also defend Solanke? He came on knowing he wasn't there to score and doubled up a lot to keep it nil nil.

I know that's what we don't expect but Klopp does...

Defend as a team.

First 15 minutes of 2nd half
..usual panicky ****e...after that and after subs....we were compact and alert.. ..

Plan B?????

Mane's best game of the season. I still think TAA is not a full back and he'll end up in our midfield - but it's nice to know he can fill there if needs be. Milner played a blinder, and Ox had a brilliant first half, even without the goal. A fourth in that second half and it's tie over: now we need to score at their place. Can't see us keeping a clean sheet at City though, but then again I thought they were certs to score at Anfield.

Good laugh driving into work and listening to 5 Live with Robbie savage telling all and sundry that City are still favourites, and several callers saying the tie should replayed at a neutral venue because of the coach attack (****ing idiots who did that, and LFC should hire private detectives to catch the ****wits and get them JAILED - not just banned).

But it's not over yet - City have put five past us with no reply once this season, and with Aguero back and our injury list getting worse, it's not a dead cert at all. Still, hands up who would have took 3-0 at half seven last night?

And he nearly put one on a plate for Mane - cracking tackle there by walker, tbf.
