Not Spurs fault that for the past two seasons the
rest of the PL has bent over backwards for the
eventual champions in the first half of the season,
so that when the Spurs final half season surge
in form (three years running now) occurs the
champions elect are too far away for Spurs to catch.

i know, it's a conspiracy against Spurs!

So what you're telling me is that unless you boys have zero pressure and are miles behind the leaders, you go on a great run? <whistle>

Pardew does a runner..

Head rat deserts sinking ship shocker!...

The club should never have hired him - completely the wrong man for the job. Whoever did hire him ought to be sacked for incompetence.

An in depth analysis of the goal there.

Why did he think that the World needed to see that? And more to the point was he not embarrassed by it?

What a strange world we live in,,,,,

To be fair, though, it has never stopped Skiddy from venturing his "views" on this board.

you blame them?

Going a goal up at home then parking the bus and eventually bottling it

No amount of parking the bus could stop Alli and Eriksen, me Bredbrin.

Dembele and Lamela gave some "afters" early doors, to soften things up a bit, and then Eriksen and Alli ran the show after that.

It was text-book, Bruv.

people asking why spurs haven't been given the bottlers tag this year so i gave a perfectly reasonable response ;)

Would you say that Chelsea have bottled their title defence?

Leicester did it, of course, but that was to be expected, since they fluked their title win; but there are no excuses for Chelsea, I would have thought?

And has anyone seen CFC - 100 more years of Butt-hurt?

"It was a massive result for Tottenham, because they now look like they are going to qualify for the Champions League for a third successive year under Mauricio Pochettino, before their move to their new stadium."
(BBC Football)

For all the bollocks spoken about "Poch hasn't won anything yet," it is a fact that he has improved Spurs beyond recognition since his arrival. With the likes of Alli, Eriksen, Kane, Sanchez, and Son all being so young, matched with the experience of the likes of Dembele and Aurier and Lloris, we will be challenging for the next decade to come, once we have settled into our new stadium.

And this, at a time when Arsenal is in decline.

I never expected to get anything from this season, what with the disruption caused by our having to play at Wembley whilst the new stadium is built. Again, it just shows you how fantastically well Poch has done.

I can't see that thread. It must be on the Chav board, from which I appear to by mysteriously banned!

We’ve had a good run against them, and needed to win today.

We’ve been poor in 2018, and they are better team and deserve to finish above us as do City and Pool. United are dreadful but grind out results.

If Spurs can repeat what they've done these last few weeks they'll have their FA Cup trophy. When the rest of us talk about them bottling it when it absolutely matters this is the sort of tests we mean, United at home and then Chelsea at home, there is absolutely no excuse for Spurs not winning the FA Cup this season.
