During his time at Norwich we slipped to our lowest ebb, he is now with the Scottish FA and they have no clubs in europe in August.

    Can it be coincidence?

I believe that while that man is involved, Scottish football is doomed.

He's part of the spl, but you're right he's probably not helping them.

I cannot say I like the man but to be fair he is a big reason our attendances are now so healthy because he got the kids involved young through a decent pricing policy. It's not that long ago I can remember reading an article saying that we need an average gate of around 16,000 to make sure we survive when we were only pulling in 14K - 15K. Oh how Ipswich would probably now have wished for those kind of policies at theirs too.

I was thinking the exact same thing when reading the match reports this morning. I've got to say if he was still at Carrow Road now we would be in League two at the moment.

I know what you're saying is true and had an effect, but this club had been desperate for success for a long time. I spent a year out of the country (June 2001-2) and when I left we were getting just under 16k per game. When I came back we suddenly had a sell out at every game. The big thing that happened while I was away was the play-off final. That season restored peoples hope in our club and the attendances went up. To the credit of these 'new' fans, when things sarted to go wrong after the Premier League season, they stuck by the club.

Doncaster wasn't playing last night so he should shoulder no blame.

What position did he play for Norwich?

Dunno, maybe he was the goalie in their humiliating 4-0 home defeat to MK Dons?

Or the 7-1 Drubbing when Bryan Gunn was manager?

Jim Farry is a better option than Sammy.

The only good comments I can pass on Neil Doncaster was at least he chose to sit in the Barclay every home game instead of the directors box. I believe he was a genuine fan of the club and had the best interests of the club at heart, just wasn't capable of keeping us going in the right direction when we went up to the PL last time.
