I seem to remember game against Sheff Wed i think, where there was a scramble in their box at the loft end, woods "i think" off his line, ball cleared to just outside the D and "super ray" with his pitching wedge of a foot just chipped it over everyone in front of him to score and made it look like the easiest thing in the world, an inspired signing, get well soon

Seem to remember him doing similar away at Wimbledon. If memory serves we won that one 3-0
One of my favourite players back then
Doesn't sound great and very sad given Ray is only 61
Fingers crossed for positive news

My Brother was only 57 when he had his fatal heart attack. but I hope Ray pulls through this one.

please pull through ray we all love you very much ,im just praying you can make it ol boy just focus on survival

Very sad to hear of Ray’s condition, a really nice guy and family. Remember his wife Jackie and family looking after my pregnant wife when she was in the players bar, while I was in the loft watching the game, met them after and were great. Hope things improve for Ray; my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Ray. Fight your best to be back with them.

Hopefully he'll pull through. Excellent player and apparently a nice guy struggling with some issues. Fingers crossed.

Very sad to hear this news. Many years ago I watched a pre season or reserve game and with Ray. We chatted about tactics. He told me some stuff that I will never forgot about professional Football. I hope he pulls through this.

Sad sad news. Rest in Peace Ray...one of the gooduns
