He has the ability to become the finest goalkeeper I've seen in a Cardiff shirt.

Learns quickly and has the right attitude.

When DJ brought Marshall to us from Norwich he was no great shakes - it was just he was better than Enkleman. He was flapping at crosses and I think Tom Heaton kept him on the bench as second choice for a while. It was only after Mackay came to us that he got better.

Etheridge has come to us at about the same age as Marshall was and looks the business now after a short period of adjustment. He seemed to be in awe of Bamba and Morrison earlier in the season to the extent he was a bit indecisive.

I thought Warnock was very unfair to blame him for the Preston goal in the rain at the CCS and dropped him as a result. Since then he's become more authorative and takes responsibility in his area - that's the difference. Good keeper that is only going to get better the more he plays.

I always thought that Heaton was the better all round keeper, Marshall even in his best was dreadful at kick outs and though brilliant shot stopper at a few yards would often be found wanting at shots from outside the area. When you have 2 good keepers the fans will always have their favourite as it was with Bill Irwin & Ron Healey.

Of course. That's what coaches are for :)

Unless you are an Australian cricket coach!

I know it's what they do. They don't all do it that well though.

There's an ex Welsh rugby coach that was referred to as The Bus because he wasn't a coach. Won the grand slam that year as well.

Aussie coaches use a totally different manual.

Wasn’t it a choice between Jim Eadie & Bill Irwin?
