We're going to jump into the ocean at Warwick 14,10 and see what happens. 15,15 Militarian 4/1 Good effort LTO in a better race.
Wolverhampton 2.20 TIGERWOLF e/w @ 10/1 Looked a decent prospect as 2yo when with Mick Channon and three of his first four starts came in class 2’s.One of those efforts came in the Tattersalls 2yo Trophy when finishing 4th behind Gifted Master,Waterloo Bridge and Zhui Feng with Nimr behind in 5th.Sole win to date was at Salisbury off mark of 86 and gets in here on new career low mark of 61.Drops back to 6f for first time since Last July and nice weight of 8st9.David Loughnane does well with these types from other yards and surely only a matter of time until he finds the key to this one.
Warwick 3.50 BANCO DE LOGOS @ 100/30 Kept some fair company last term behind the likes of Neon Wolf,Dreamcatching and Winningtry and made solid debut for new yard here last month when staying on 4th behind useful pair The Dubai Way and Vado Forte.Did everything but win last time over 3m at Towcester when pipped at post by Drumlee City with the pair pulling 19l clear of the 3rd.Shoulders top weight in this but should be more to come from this one and stable sent out winner yesterday.
Wincanton 3.05 ROUERGATE @ 9/2 Found the grade 2 Dawn Run too hot at the Cheltenham Festival and has sights lowered here running in a handicap for the first time.Would have won at Ludlow back in January but for falling at the last but made no mistake next time at Market Rasen.Lightly raced, should have no issues with the ground and yard been amongst the winners lately.
Warwick 3.15 MR LOVE e/w @ 10/1 Solid effort on second start over fences at Leicester when close up 3rd behind Dontminddboys and Shockingtimes.Pulled up next time but got back on track the last day at Market Rasen when runner up to the reopposing Shanty Town, the pair pulling 23l clear of the 3rd.Trainer Lucy Wadham has 30% strike rate in past fortnite and she applies the first time blinkers.Nicely weighted on 10st9.
Sadly I am with him on Rouergate too. The form of her win has worked out pretty well. Its carrying some overweight now eh Reebs LOL Had a tip for one in Dundalk tomorrow night in the form of COCKALORUM (7.00) 8/1
Ok ... putting aside my dislike of crap midweek racing - again - got 8-1 with Betfair (smaller elsewhere) - smallish stakes, although I need to pay for a new exhaust system on the MH this week, so it all helps!
Bassino 3 25 Wolves 40/1 hopefully today will be the day, if not just keep following it until it wins it will spring a surprise (well to some people) soon and it'll be about 33/1+
Morning, troops. Stick are you off to Wales on Easter Sunday then?!? I see Paddy is now down to ride JS at Ffos Las. Be sure to pass on the regards of the forum to the 11th richest man in Wales if you do head across.
Sadly Barney, if that is where she runs and it does sound like that is FOB's preference, I will be unable to attend. I shall be up to my waist in the River Wye collecting the finishers in our annual duck race which we hold each year to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease. 88 starters in this years race. Unbelievably one of our friends has had the winning duck two years running, surely there is no way she can complete the hat trick. When Jenny ran at the track last time the syndicate were given use of the man you mentios private box and treated to champagne when she won, what a gent!
You can’t beat a good ‘duck race’. They have one in Wroughton every year on May Day. What odds the hat-trick?!? The 11th richest man in Wales’ ranking can only improve, on the forum, after that glowing report. Indeed, what a gent.
Midweek, mundane, mediocre? Marvelous more like!! I'm quite interested in these "each way hopes" early doors today: Warwick 2.10 Fawsley Spirit 2.40 Captain Jack Wincanton 2.00 Carole's Vigilante Wolverhampton 2.20 Thorntoun Lady Looking forward to a long 5 day Easter weekend starting Friday with a trip up to the North East possible for Sunday, great stuff. The countdown begins to Chester in May, lovely. Good Luck to all who play today.
This is my last day at the coalface, prior to the Easter break, so now also seems like the ideal time to wish everyone, and I do mean everyone, a very Happy Easter. Therefore, Happy Easter, say I. As an Easter present, for the regular readers, here are a couple to look out for from the Lieutenant’s barn. (i) Kilcrea Vale has slipped to a lenient looking perch of 135 and really should now be capable of winning – and if in the right frame of mind winning doing the proverbial handstands! A few have questioned his commitment and attitude, in his time, but Kilcrea Vale still has some very good form to his name and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see a rejuvenation occur in Plumpton’s rich ‘Champion Chase’ on Easter Monday. If he misses that heat still one to look out for off 135. (ii) And an unraced one owned by the 11th richest man in Wales, New Moon. The dam is a full sister to the Grade 1 winning chaser, Nickname, and also a half-sister to a dual Group 3 winner on the flat. This 4YO, who cost €115,000, should be up to winning a bumper very shortly and could, in time, be graded class. And until the next time…take care, people.
On My second week off and must admit this weather is taking it's toll on my plans, today's offerings are going to be... Warwick Red Infantry 3.15 Wincanton The Cider Maker 4.15 Wolverhampton Street poet 2.50 If these go well, we'll have a little play on tonight's fare, see Stick's is being hammered in the Market. same as Simonj, still got all the easter off but going to spend a little time in Latvia!
